seriously i think someone hit that dislike button on accident....you guys seem to really give the actual info rather than the "make me rich" info like sales people will try on you. thanks and i really hope to see more videos :D
@AnimalLover161 Mahalos for the kind comments! We had a little fun with this video, and hopefully got the message across about how to make a useful little aquarium tool that's easy on the wallet:)
You know, this simple and brilliant. Makes me wonder why I never thought of making such a tool for cleaning! Thank you for making my life a lot easier. Much more affordable than the stuff they try to sell you specially made for cleaning aquariums, too. Since I lost some of my olive nerite snails I need to do more cleaning myself - this is perfect for the budget! Thank you!! (And laughed myself silly over the comment tags in your video. As seen on Oprah was great.)
@chitchatt2006 Aloha and thank you for the kind comments! Happy to hear that you found the video useful. Btw, our Mark II Aquarium Glass Cleaner wasn't REALLY advertised on Oprah -- but everything else in video is mostly true:)
lmao! I've been watching your nano lagoon instructional videos consecutively and this one had me cracking up over the silly comments! I decided to finally leave my own comment to say "Hi" and thank you for making such a great set of videos!! I will now make my way through the remaining sections... (Can't wait to see the finished product!)
thanks for the boost! The disagreement on technical issues we can handle, in fact that's what moves the state of the art forward -- lively informed debate. what's just plain sad is the anonymous, mindless messages left on our voicemail. let's hope it's a passing phenomenon. If we've offended anyone, it was NOT intentional:) Rule number one of reefing is, "it's supposed to be fun."
hmm, we seem to have misunderestimated the interest level:) how long do we have before the rioting starts? (just kidding)
one way to look at this is that we've done 32 free videos in a little over 2 months. most of the comments have been positive and supportive. however for the first time ever we've received some abusive phone calls and e-mails. that makes us pause and do other things. our intention is to inform, not to offend.
Sorry if you misunderstood my question. Simply asked since I dont know. Is there any reason one should wait many weeks before adding corals etc like you do with fresh water tank cycling? :) No riots yet.
the waiting has to do with building our ecosystem from the bottom up, like nature does. starting with the establishment of bacteria, then diatoms, then other single celled plants, then protozoans, then coralline algae and other multi-cellular plants, then snail grazers, 'pods, worms and other beneficial sandbed organisms. these steps should precede the addition of corals for a healthy and viable nano tank. our previous videos and the "more info" sections discuss these topics in detail.
Unfortunately, as is the nature of youtube, you will get people that claim they know better than you and giving you hell. I am sorry to hear you got abusive phone calls. That is ridiculous. Please don't let it stop you from doing videos and continuing the nano lagoon series. We all really love it. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do :)
Your back love your videos thats how i started my first nano from watching your videos:)
