@brosefsmith dude I'm a musician and to me being a musician is a way to express my views and my beliefs through something i like doing and something i like listening to. And if you dont like the fact that they sing about Christ well then dont mind the lyrics and listen to the instrumentation and the melody that should be good enough. And christianity and metal go together the same as atheism goes with it. there is no rule against it.

@brosefsmith im recording my bands first album right now. our band is called "Why Be Silent?" were a mix of power, progressive and thrash metal. i do all the instruments except the drums and im also doing the singing unless we can find someone whos sings better than me. if you want i have demos of some of the songs without vocals and drums except one has drums and my cover of For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica has vocals. the vocals arent all that good but im better now than i was

This is a young and very very promising band.

I hate hearing that Henrik is a huge pussy, he got a nice and clean vocal, not annoying, a good vibration in it, he is not one of those annoying screaming power metal vocalists like many power metal/heavy metal singers are, he is well balanced and good singing.

@morganix007 I wouldnt call it weak, infact from a musical perspective due to the melodic nature and classical base of most "power metal" I would say that it is stronger, from a musical perspective anyway. Singing in this style takes far more talent IMO than shrieks or growling, I say this from a fairly educated standpoint as a teacher of modern vocal styles, I sing Opera, Pop, Metal, Jazz, Soul, and growling as well. And Power metal is amongst the most difficult

@XavierSky Man I just call weak power metal to those bands I mentioned before. I call great power metal to Iced Earth for example. Some of those power metal vocalist have talent but others just use falsetto on heir music,which it isn't honest at all. Anyway I think that most of the power metal vocals r pussy. If I wanted to listen to great vocalists, I would listen to Andrea Bocelli. Other power metal band that I really like is Dragon Force.

This band improved their first album DREAMING AWAKE when CHAPTER II - AFTERMATH was released, and is just an example that the things almost perfect can be surpassed in quality at a second effort.

Why do all these symphonic-metal bands have male singers that have exactly the same sound in their voice? do they get picked because of it or so? They usually sing very good though...it just get's a little boring in my opinion (same as always the same compositions, arrangements and riffs)

It's just like your speaking voice, it's not really a choice. Not just great pitch and vibrato..but the ' kind' of voice, the sound of it..etc
