@Jaran912 dont be hating on the H series man, they're hondas 4 cyl big block! ive seen preludes with some minor mods and tune make close to 217 whp... and were just talking intake throttle body, intake manifold w. hondata heat shield gasket, a GOOD header, meaning SMSP HyTech RMF or Bisimoto, full exhaust, and a MSD ignition tuned on a hondata S300 make roughly 220 whp. so it is possible, but i know the guy driving the lude, it wasnt 217 HP then, its turbo now tho, 230 whp and 220 wtq.

@ferrariz24 if u run from a higher gear u will get pretty much any honda pretty easy, that torque curve and large powerband talks on top end. If u run them from lower speeds where power to weight ratios matters most well look at what happened in this vid, i have yet to lose to any honda when it comes down to the higher speeds.
@rdylima9 i have seen some fast hondas my friends are going crazy with these things, one of the people i know was trying to break the record for a stock B16, i think he made 627whp before he called a quits to it, he didnt blow the motor just got tired of trying, couldnt make more power with out building the motor.
but an NA 4cyl at those displacement levels, not much to worry about.

There sounds like a minor adjustment to valves because there is a deep underyling tone that isn't usually heard with just an intake added to a vtec motor and it sounds a lot raspier.
I'm suggesting cams because of the hum i was talking about and the fact he's got a rediculous amount of wheel spin off the line. I've got a friend with a stock prelude with the vtec h22 and he revved his to about 4 grand, dumped the clutch and took off and he didn't spin as much as this guy in the video. And at the time we did a highway run from the light for about a mile and a half and at the time I had a camry with 2.2L 4cyl and he walked away from me but it wasn't spectacular.
At least you could have said you had the most reliable car in history ;-) Or at least thats what I hear about those early 90's Camrys. I personally have witnessed a tranny fail on a friends Camry, and ripped electrical wires in drivers door at my autoglass job all the time. Failed window motors as well. But thats about it. And yeah, that Prelude I would say is modded as well, but he made a big noob mistake with that shift LOL

195 hp automatic transmission and 159 tq.

do some reasearch on this engine.
its not a type r but i did smoked a 07 maxima and it wasnt 1/8 and 1/4 ither it was about a mile long.
it was dark and the streets were empty.
all i had is all motor and 17 inc rims that are freakin heavy.
now i put 15's, intake,exhaust, high-flo catalic

@Jaran912 dont be hating on the H series man, they're hondas 4 cyl big block! ive seen preludes with some minor mods and tune make close to 217 whp... and were just talking intake throttle body, intake manifold w. hondata heat shield gasket, a GOOD header, meaning SMSP HyTech RMF or Bisimoto, full exhaust, and a MSD ignition tuned on a hondata S300 make roughly 220 whp. so it is possible, but i know the guy driving the lude, it wasnt 217 HP then, its turbo now tho, 230 whp and 220 wtq.

@fastestludeever u say i hate on the h series yet I own a JDM h22a and drive a 93 prelude h22a1... Wtf is wrong with you? I was pointing out that that lude has no H22a Euro Type S in there.. Thats the one with 217 crank.. Not the Usdm h22a4 thats in that lude.. Relax yourself and the h22a4 is garbage.. and h22a's do not respond good to bolt ons.. ask anyone on prelude power how much they are making with those mods you just described.. Cause last i checked preludes make about 136-139whp stock.

@ferrariz24 if u run from a higher gear u will get pretty much any honda pretty easy, that torque curve and large powerband talks on top end. If u run them from lower speeds where power to weight ratios matters most well look at what happened in this vid, i have yet to lose to any honda when it comes down to the higher speeds.

@rdylima9 i have seen some fast hondas my friends are going crazy with these things, one of the people i know was trying to break the record for a stock B16, i think he made 627whp before he called a quits to it, he didnt blow the motor just got tired of trying, couldnt make more power with out building the motor.
but an NA 4cyl at those displacement levels, not much to worry about.

There sounds like a minor adjustment to valves because there is a deep underyling tone that isn't usually heard with just an intake added to a vtec motor and it sounds a lot raspier.

I'm suggesting cams because of the hum i was talking about and the fact he's got a rediculous amount of wheel spin off the line. I've got a friend with a stock prelude with the vtec h22 and he revved his to about 4 grand, dumped the clutch and took off and he didn't spin as much as this guy in the video. And at the time we did a highway run from the light for about a mile and a half and at the time I had a camry with 2.2L 4cyl and he walked away from me but it wasn't spectacular.

At least you could have said you had the most reliable car in history ;-) Or at least thats what I hear about those early 90's Camrys. I personally have witnessed a tranny fail on a friends Camry, and ripped electrical wires in drivers door at my autoglass job all the time. Failed window motors as well. But thats about it. And yeah, that Prelude I would say is modded as well, but he made a big noob mistake with that shift LOL
