Christianity: A Delusion - John Loftus, part 1

If John Loftus believes that his previous Christian faith was delusional. Why would I believe that his accepting Atheism is not a replacement delusional odyssey. For surely if he is susceptible to being deluded in the past, which one would have to accept then why not even more so now. People might say he has arguments, but did he not previously think he had Christian arguments? It seems logical to conclude that a delusional mind could keep being open to new ones and not being aware of it.
