my pug Poppy died from cancer in December. Pugs are so loving and gentle animals. their love is unconditional. Poppy was like a friend to me, she was crazy and I taught her everything she knew. She was only 6 when she died. the house is so empty without her, she was truely a brilliant little character, she is very missed but never forgotten, i think of her everyday and how she used to make me laugh. Pugs are very hard to part with as their are just so loving, playful and loyal. RIP Poppy. <3

My pug Sammy used to slightly howl/wolf while making a ruining motion in his sleep...

It's OK... Just let him/her do his/her thing unless it sounds like a sad crying sound... Then just talk him/her awake gently the way you would any child that's having a nightmare & comfort them...

Most of the time from what I could tell Sammy was actually having good dreams... His tail would even start going from time to time...

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pug. My one pug had to be put to sleep April of last year because he had cancer. My parents decided to have our other pug put to sleep this past July. I didn't agree with their decision to put him down; he was blind and deaf, but still got around fairly well and ate his food. They will live on forever in our hearts.
