its exactly the same in my house.. but from top ive got an element set below the Italian marble so i can basically change the temperature of the restroom if needed...im from new delhi, india and will try my best to make a video and upload it here asap...
Yeah iPads would be a cheaper way to do this, but you know & I know that companies that install these home automation services want to keep the expensive crestron panels, so they can drive up the price even more & then add a little something something more for themselves by then the home owner has a empty pocket. The iPad does stuff just like this, but it is scattered in different apps which sucks . I am working on joining everything into one app for Home Automation & Home Theaters. Great Home!
Yeah, you're talking at least 30k for the equipment, but what you're missing is the price of the prewiring needed during the build process and the labor charged to install and program all this stuff. After all said and done, over 100k for the kind of system shown here. I've been doing this same stuff for years in CA and AZ. Crestron is especially expensive.
@EtyleN when you decide to add this in the planning stage of your home and you use stock components, you should be able to get something for about 5k-10k without the fancy audio/video stuff. if i had to guess how much for everything shown in the video... hmm ~ 30k.
With Crestron, for a system like that, including all the subsystems he demonstrated (lighting, distributed a/v, shades, security, hvac, fountains, fireplace, etc.), I'd imagine around $200,000 installed; though, the cost can vary wildly depending on the quality of components.
I was involved with an installation like this, in a 5500 sq. ft., super premium home, that ran upwards of $350,000, but this particular client only wanted the best. For instance, a $25,000 projector.
hi, nice video and great job, but for those that not live in the usa, and want to have all that beneficst , how can we do, please attach some help, like details about the equipment used, intalation, brands, tech,
get2rad...nice video. You do a terrific job of demonstrating how home automation can benefit the homeowner and also show how easy it is to interface with the system. Nice work.
Thanks for posting. You have a very nice system. I've worked with a few Crestron systems that were installed in lecture halls at some colleges, but I have not seen a home install until now.
Expensive, but worth every penny down the road. It is simply the best control system on the market.
I am a fan of home automation but the User Interfaces from Creston look like a website from the 90s. :(

Crestron is the Cisco of home automation. If you have the right folks with the right expertise designing the system it works flawlessly.

I'm about to do a similar setup so i'm also a little bit curious about the total cost.
Is there anything that you should do different today with your system?

you can. in fact its probably better to use ipads then crestron panels - a heck of a lot less. i use my iphone for control
get2rad 1 year ago
@ayambami you can, I just wouldn't use Crestron. Over priced and over hyped.
Jarbranga 8 months ago in playlist Home Automation
@ayambami You can, download the "crestron" app from the app store.
