we should be gratefull it went as it went . after the breakup they went their own ways , with double the output . they did not fit together anymore , egos ? probably , so what . great music , great musicians , all of them .
Rick Wright didn't play on most, if not all, of the Wall or Final Cut. And Pros & Cons was written at the time of the Wall, and was first worked out (rehearsed) by the members of Floyd. After the epic Wall/FC and breakup, Roger had another album ready to be recorded. So he got new people and recorded it.
It's not so blasphemous that Roger call this a Floyd album or doesn't mention Rick Wright. It has about as much creative input from Gilmour as anything post-WYWH.
the point is that DAVE GILMOUR is unreplacable & all floyd fans know this fact,i love roger & i appriciate his work but still dave with his music something totaly floydish & makes u fly high .there is no one plays this load of feelings like him
When Barret was kicked out, Gilmour had to mimic Barret in concerts, and arguably, Gilmour "did" Syd better than Syd.
Does that mean that we should all excuse Syd's tenure with the group as "rubbish" too?
As skilled as Clapton is, I prefer a Gilmour solo over Clapton any day. Clapton's style is too mechanical for me. Then again, I'm a true Pink Floyd fan.
Yeah, the Pro's and Con's 3D thing is what he used during this tour with the space man and the cartoon baloon thing...hopefully I'll see his show again this summer in Philly...

The others had talent, but Roger Waters & Syd Barrett were the creative geniuses of Pink Floyd.
Roger Waters has also done amazing work without Pink Floyd. And nothing against Gilmour (who's a fantastic guitarist) but no one can ever replace Syd!

btw - that is no Floyd show. Make me sick.
