Erik Satie: Gnossienne nº 3

This interpretation is different from any other I've heard. For me it's lacking the natural flow, it sounds somewhat artificial.

Love Klimt's work. Attended an exhibition of it in Ottawa about 10 years ago. There were many drawings, but none quite so revealing as here.

Satie too, I've been holding in high esteem for many years! And today... I discovered Reinbert de Leeuw in a TV program. What a beautiful man. :) 

For some strange reason he had Erik Satie written all over him.

Now I hear why...

Personnally I don't like this version because the rythm is too equal I feel like more rubato in this music.

@lili031176 After I started to love De Leeuw interpretation of the Gnossiennes I went back to other interpretations of this music and couldn't stand it anymore: they may seem more exciting, they may even kind of swing, but they get into an excessively detailed analysis of the musical discourse and they express, let's say, a variety of moods that make them lack the deepest sense and almost silent quality of this music.
