@JLDJUK so there is noway of setting up through a dmx controller, par cans, scanners and moving heads, and have them all doing the same colour at the same time? so if i made a scene such as: white flash for 1 second, red flash for 1 second, blue flash for 1 second and it repeated this, if i had this on the scanners, parcans and moving heads, would there be a way of getting them to do the same colour all night, if i made a really long scene on repeat? thankyou.

Can you create timelines? Like say if you have particular songs you want pre programed lighting to via laptop is this possible?

@hyperthrash Not with this desk. You can record sequences of cues which the desk will then go from cue to cue either at a set speed or via sound active. If you want to do lighting programmed to audio you need to have a more advanced desk or computer software. The software option will be a lot cheaper and easier.

New to dmx, but can i have parcans and scanners on all the same dmx controller (i want the one you have) and have them all going the same colour always? like when i want a white strobe the scanners stobe white and the parcans strobe white aswell all the same speed? and once you set up dmx can you just leave it on sound active then all night?

@DJDreamDiscos You can have what ever fixtures at all on any DMX desk. You would have to program a sequence or a cue to get the scanners and pars to both strobe white. If you want to just leave the light on all night with no fuss then the best thing to do is use master slave and sound active. where lights of the same model are connected togeather by DMX and then just run sound to light togeather. DMX is designed to allow maximum control not maximum ease of use

Great vid, I bought the Trancension Commander 384, I've got about 6 LED parcans and a few mega bars connected at the moment and struggling to find out how I can fade into my next scene by using the scene buttons, for e.g scene 1 is green and I want to fade into scene 2 (red) over 4 seconds, can I do this by setting my scenes on my controller and by pressing scene 1 - 2 - 3 etc as atm there are going from scene to scene instantly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

@macbook112009 Sometimes Make sure you have the speed fade button engaged and just pull up and down the fader to engage it. Make sure you have only one chase selected and the sound active button is turned off (It overrides the fader)

@macbook112009 This may sound like a stupid question but have you programmed in a chase or scene for the lights. a DMX desk doesn't mean the lights work normally and you just control the speed and colour etc. You have to program all the movements yourself.

@inventorlewis I have no idea what I would sell for, will sort that out when I finaly get around to selling it. I may still keep it as a hardware back I don't know. I will be selling my DMX scanners soon when I finally get around to updating them.

@turna15 That control is usually in the digital display menu on the fixture itself. It is with my scanners. alternatively you could just program the fixtures to make it seam reversed

Can you please explain how dimmer packs are set up please?

@NatoRCT They are very similar to DMX lights. Say you have a four channel DMX dimmer pack. You would set the address you want channel one to be (e.g. dimmer one to be DMX Channel no. 6) the four channels of the dimmer pack will be 6,7,8 and 9. If you have any more questions please ask. Joseph

@TheTechFish Yep, all on itouch, you may be able to notice some points where the audio is out of sync slightly. for some reason only on some of the clips
