  • this really looks fake

  • "in the hope of 44"

(I use the phrase everywhere, along this year of 2011; my age). Happy New Year, guys

  • First time I head this song I knew I'd heard something like it by someone else. The name: Bob Ezrin. The connection: Alice Cooper.

  • Haunting solo, a ghost had taken Steve's mind and body here

  • Wonderful. Yes, the vocals are priceless. This song can apply to any nostalgic memory of loved ones, etc.,,,

  • I gotta get this on vinyl...it's cracklike. Hearing recent versions kinda makes me sad cuz Steve's voice...well, you know......

  • oh no i am scared

  • Haunting lyrics (no pun intended), great delivery. Steve Walsh on top in his prime...keyboard handstands all around!

  • This was a song dedicated to the victims of the Neosho Falls flood of 1959..the visions of the victims live in this song!

  • @mrmjb1960 Right on Man

  • YAWWWWNN!

  • Love this song!

One of favorites by Kansas, of which there are many songs.

    Thanks for posting.

  • this song is sooooo great are great..amen

  • Incredible! Shame so few people have given this album a serious listen.

  • His voice on the phrases from "hope of 44" and on give s me goosebumps..really nice intonation...omg..

  • Im getting thoase same goosebumps Debbie...what a vocal performance from Walsh. absolutely brilliant piece of music.....'one man one heart' rocks aswell!

  • @debbiechickie5

Wow, you must be my twin. How about "noooooo, ohhhhh I feel their ghost around me now" priceless. Love live true rock n roll.

  • Walsh could still be 70s-like in the 80s when he wanted to, like on Ghosts. Proved he hadn't really lost anything, it was partly by choice, still is I think.

  • Thanks for posting i've lost or let's say been stolen my cd copy of this album which have been release in 1988 this one is my favorite

  • I thought this was their strongest studio album ever

  • @envaneo Steve sez in an interview that its his favorite...

  • Kansas has so many fantastic songs, but this one might be my favorite. This song never really got it's due as far as I'm concerned. It's such a beautiful song, and the lead guitar is haunting.

  • many songs by kansas never got the credit that they derserved.

  • I think it's true of the whole album. It never got its due. Amazing vocals by Steve.
