  • Great recording! Andy always breaks strings!

  • Saw them last night in Nottingham, best support band I've EVER seen! I am converted!

  • Amazing band, saw them in July, in the UK obviously, absolutely ace!!!! Off to see Brand New in January too, four years to late if you ask me, but still a fantastic band, better musically than most bands out there....ever in fact!

  • Brand New sucks.

You can not even compare them to Nirvana...

  • Okay. Remind me not to read your comments anymore. Kurt Kobain didn't even have an understanding of guitar scales. I'm not saying Nirvana sucks because I love Nirvana, but Brand New definitely kicks Nirvana's ass.

  • Brand New don't suck. ;| They're so much more epic than Nirvana.

  • ANDY, ANDY, ANDY!!! Be seeing you July mate ;)

  • Nirvana what the hell, manchester orchestra used to get brand new refrences due to well the first record having a song that had the same structure as degrauser but this record puts those similarities aside. People mocking them for getting fans like wtf it's like death cab all over again when they left barsuk, god forbid they want to tour and release records on a larger scale.

  • which song is it that has a similar structure as degausser?

  • must've been flannel friday due to andy hulls' attire

  • MO had been on tour for almost 3 years. What an intense schedule they had. They reminds me of NIRVANA when they toured so hard during post-BLEACH album and made an impact after that on NEVERMIND.

i hope MO will be next in line. Can't wait to buy their new album..;)

  • yeah the best thing for a band is to struggle and make as little money as possible and barely be able to support their selfs and their families just so a few scene kids can be happy

  • It's almost as if this was sarcastic. :)

  • maybe you mis understood i just dont want a following of fakes who said that they were with them from the start you know what i mean maybe i just have on odd way of looking at things....

  • i get what you mean. the concerts and stuff get less personal if theyre larger with a bunch of people that really dont care. i dont mind a band's popularity growing if its with people that genuinely appreciate the music, but when it just becomes the fad it can't stand it and i would much prefer them to stay in the dark. so yea i have that selfish attitude too

  • Ok, I can understand that. I mean it's nice to have "your" bands. But really I mean there are a lot of people who feel like that and even if everyone who pays to see them or helps them in some way doesn't have that special connection it's ok. I think that as long as you still feel the same about them then it doesn't really matter. And the shows get less personal is probably the worst part, I agree with that.

  • andy is a badass but you have to give it up to all of them they have come a long way....i just hope they dont sell out.....i dont want "our" secret to get out.....selfish much?

  • I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous. I would love for them to be as big as they want to be. I mean they are a GREAT band and they deserve to be popular and heard. If they get huge crowds and are more "well-known" that shouldn't affect whether or not you like them.

  • @stobaugh14 i would've agreed until i saw them them with blink in a huge arena. yea. huge arenas suck.

  • Andy Hull is a bad ass.

  • "i found a note in my grandfather's coat and when i read it out loud i got cold"

    enough said.

  • does anyone remember their set list?

  • not sure of the exact order one hundred dollars? black man shake it out my friend marcus mean everything to nothing wolves at night now that youre home the neighborhood is bleeding where have you been? now its on (grandaddy cover) i think thats it, but im tired and cant try to think anymore. correct me if im wrong.
  • yeah, i went to the des moines show and it wqas exactly the same, except for the grandaddy cover

and he announced "one hundred dollars" is actually titled "You Pride in Me"

  • This song is called "Mean Everything to Nothing"

  • yeah im pretty sure that it is

  • joe cannetti with the assist!

  • I was there also. Such an incredible show. I have so much respect for these guys it's ridiculous.

I was up near the front of the stage, and probably looking pretty ridiculous singing my heart out. If you're tryin to guess who I was, I was the guy near the front with the fauxhawk.

  • i was there too! i got the end of 'where have you been' on video, with the extra 'this is the price i pay...' verse. it's on my channel if you want to see. great quality video, thanks for filming.

  • i was like right behind you.

  • I was there too!
