If you take aluminum foil and a a piece of cardboard box, Take the aluminum foil and wrap it on a piece of the cardboard box (like sheet of paper).cover the sheet of cardboard box with the foil. now put it in front of the antenna he just made, it will pick up better reception

I used an old UHF ring antenna screwed to a board and attached a transformer--it works as well and better than many store bought "special" antennas--but I had to attach it to an amplifier to boost the signal to get a few more stations. The old ring antennas are normally 7 to 8" in diameter, and are great since you can adjust them with the spring type ends they have on them.

my connection on my TV in my bedroom was really bad and i couldn't pick up any channels so what i did was get a Y splitter into the tv in the livingroom which was connected to the aeriel on the roof, and i ran a wire from the splitter outside and into my bedroom at the top and into my tv and the signal is perfect :D hope this helps

You can go to a art supply store and get the different sized metal rings and use them since they are a perfect circle already. It would look more aesthetically appealing, and you could have the design more flatter by having the rings within each other.

I went out and got a $70 HD Antenna ... and it is a peace of crap ... I had to dig in the closet for my old rabbit ears , because they work way better then the $70 Antenna I got ... where did you get the transformer , what kind and what does it do ?

The antenna was made for my friend way out in BFE Mason Ohio for him and his 60 acre farm He's old and doesn't believe in "technology" to subscribe to cable. Now with this device he has more than 9 channels. He's very happy now.

I just hooked up the little single loop antenna included with a portable TV. Screwed it to block of wood. Added balun from 99cent Store. Attached 12ft. coax lead-in.

It gets a stronger signal than the coat hangar antenna that I was using. Who knew?

but I was long ago use antenna preamplifier (cheap one) Normally for outdoor use, but in the my room , direct on preamplifier I was connected loop(no loose signal in coaxial cable) and this one preamplifier provide connecting 4 difference antenna VHF1 , VHF3 , UHF also i FM radio broadcast(actually VHF2 range ). I use this one preamplifier only because filters for any band independent(avoid interference between loops when difference loop are connected on same feed point)

they are mostly low profile planar inverted-F, inverted-L antennas, with the cheaper phones usually using compact helical antennas.

fractal antennas have been shown to be terrible time and time again - fractals are truly fascinating objects, but they don't just magically apply to everything in reality!

first of all,,, im not a retard/// second of all changing the shape and dimensions of the loops or in my currend version pyramids, affects the quality of the signal, yes "almost" any antenna can pick up a digital signal but the amount of data in a digital signal will some times "lag" the feed and it will end up with poor video quality., so what im trying to do is design an antenna that can pickup as much feed as possible therefore reducing lag and improving quality,,

Incorrect, When audio and video are sent from the antenna it is revieved at the same time. If you are recieving a digital signal and the audio is out a phase with the video it is not on you end. That's what you call poor engineering on the TV stations end. -Broadcast Operator-
