well since you asked, the vocals are shit. Shit being whinny and monotone. Guitar is second year playing level and drums completely lack and sustenance. If a 14 year old girl would cut herself to it, I don't want to listen to it. This is just another run of the mill rock track by some douche with "feeling"
What kindda shitty metal is this. Is this for sissies ? and c'mmon. no mind boggling solos and riffs. All i heard was a shit intro and they threw some cliched keyboards and old school clean vocals !
@gurvijaybecker The clean vocals are what metal is, and has almost always been about. Harsh vocals have their place, granted [hell, I love them. I love black metal and bands like the Chasm], but this style of vocals is the closest to the spirit of what it was to be metal.
@gurvijaybecker If I recall correctly there's definitely a few sprinkled throughout the album, and throughout Vast Oceans Lachrymose and such. But you can't judge by this one track, especially considering it's just an introduction, and it's so obviously just an intro.
To me, this sounds like a heavier version of Symphony X. Not that that's a bad thing; Symphony X are amazing. Loving this song. The whole album is bloody good, to be honest, but I reckon this is my favourite.
I can see it. The end of all. My God! This, This song. It touches my very soul. The very soul you My Lord created. I am coming My Lord. . . . . . I am Doomed to forever see your Light,
. I accept my doom with all of my heart. . . . . . . .
@watami10 I agree it's been floating away from doom for a bit, but there are some more doomy songs on the album. I believe the grieve forever was pretty doomy if I recall correctly. :) Not that I think any of it is bad, it's different though.

Googled "best metal albums 2011", found a list with this album in it, got curious, and here I am.
One of the best discoveries I made this year.

I like to see doom metal bands expanding and mixing genres. This song kind of reminds me of a crunchier sounding Kamelot.

The song has one positive point and one negative point!
Positive: The Music makes me horny
Negative: I don't have anyone to fuck...
