Mr. Kennedy is an awesome violinist, sure--but I don't like this interpretation. It completely misses the haunting, raga-like quality of the Doors version. The original arrangement had a, well, "sophisticated innocence" that is difficult (if not impossible) for a highly trained classical musician to understand, and identify with.

So dynamic, so vivid, great rhythm, great marriage of classic music scholar and rock n roll soul. Nigel is genius. I'm from Serbia and I remember that he came to us in our most difficult times of 90-ies, in the time of economic sanctions, nato bombarding etc. For me he is great musician and even a greater man. Regards from Serbia, we love you Nigel.
