No its not. The r4 is not illegal at all the games are. If you dont own the game you download then its illlegal plus as long as you dont spread the game or try to sell it for money then you wont get in trouble.

A few questions oh great master of the R4. How do i change my skin themes? Do you really need the expansion EZ card to play GBA games? Is the maximum size of the R4 2GB or 5? I heard a rumor that there was a 5GB being develop in Japan right now but they say it was going to be used on the phones. Skin themes...type it in youtube and there's a video that shows you how. You DO need EZflash to play GBA games. It supports up to 2 gb. There's many rumors but go to r4ds(dot)com for the REAL capabilities. Does that answer your questions?

no, they are necessary to take up space to make the screen the same size. If you remove the frame, the screen will refresh really fast and you'll get dizzy from black and white flashes where the edges are supposed to be >_>

nope. The old GBA games used a different type of memory that is not possible to run from Flash memory. It used a type of RAM, either PSRAM or NOR RAM. The expansion pack provides both.

Actually, GBA games used a special form of ROM burned onto the chips. The reason why flash memory won't work is because GBA games need the memory to respond just as fast as the processor. So they're copied into RAM and then run.

its 2 weeks from the day its shipped, not 2 weeks from the day you order. you may have payed for it 15 days ago, but it may not have actually shipped until 12 days ago. give it two more days. IF you miss the shipment then you go to the post office. if you're there when they deliver, you dont have to go

i would advise the english personally. if a new update comes out where you need to read something, then you might be screwed...i dunno. i operate fine on my chinese one, and i cant read chinese, but who knows about the future...

They are from the same company, so they are exactly the same. The only difference is that they make updates for the R4 slightly sooner than the M3, so i guess the R4 is better.
