Hey I'm having the same problem, I have an unlocked iPhone 3G, and it doesn't work with telus, and everytime I would put my sim card it would say network restricted,, and i put in a Rogers sim card and it works, but not with my telus aim card!
There wasn't truly a exclusive contract. Sprint won't get it unfortunately. Rogers had the only GSM network in Canada, Bell couldn't support it. However, Bell can now receive the iPhone next month, because it's launching their new HSPA+ network (GSM).
Sprint has no plans to launch a GSM network unfortunately, so they will not be getting the iPhone anytime soon.
Wow, just wow. Do you live out west? Because I'm pretty sure Telus doms and Rogers sucks a fat one out here. I can get Telus coverage even in the most remote areas of western Canada and my friends don't even get Rogers' service in their basement.. or the internet cafe (which is exclusively for cellphone/laptop usage) in the college we go to. Just, wow.
OMG THE MOST POINTLESS VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! LEARN TO MAKE A VIDEO! YOU SOUND LIKE A GAY PERSON WITH NO FRIENDS! LMAO... how it goes LesPaul JK about the stuff BTW
it wont happen in the states because bell and telus are working together to create a new HSPA (GSM) network (which is what the iPhone uses) and in the states no one else is working on that except for current carriers, in Europe all carriers use GSM netoworks
