Is this clip a “blooper” or a “mistake”? Well it’s not a blooper because a blooper is a mistake caught during filming or in editing and is not in the final cut. Now is it a mistake? Yes and no. it’s a mistake in the sense that it wasn’t planned, it is not a mistake in the sense that George caught it and left it in the movie. So a blooper is not in the final cut of the film, mistakes can make it in the final cut. Just thought people would like to know.
George thought it was funny so he decided to leave it in, and for the special edition he added the sound effect of the trooper hitting his head, and then in episode ii Jango hit his head when he was boarding the ship, now this was on purpose to maybe show that when jango was cloned that maybe some of his clumsiness was copied into the clone.
I saw this when I first seen the movie. Gave the impression that Stormtroopers were glumbsy, mindless guys. Throughout the film you get the sense that they weren't the smartest bunch.
