Few months ago I've bought Peter's "The 26 Polyrhythm Rudiments" (pdf w. mp3's) and in my humble opinion it's the most amazing practicing material on that subject so far. It enables you to practice your rudiments and the polyrhythms at the same time. What other book with polyrhythms can make this claim?
how is triplets in six a polyrythm/ can you explain that? i understand it as playing triplets in 6/4 (or sextuplets in 6/8) but that isn't a polyrythm right?
Thank you for the comment. The triplets are found in the book: "Polyrhythms The Musicians Guide" and from the dvd "Jazz Drums" there is more about the African (Ewe) beat. Both with: Hal Leonard Publishing.
Ah good question ( why am in Mike's Studio ? ) Mike invited me up for a show on May 25,2011. He left it running and if you belong to "Lessons with Mike" you can still see it all there. ( I'm Mikes teacher )

I still have Pete's first two books on polyrhythms........and his album on vinyl featuring Don Menza on sax and a piece dedicated to Sonny Rollins.
