Is Vsync turned ON? Do you have AA turned ON? play with the settings a little more.

@A350110 You mean in the video control panel? I'm assuming so, since the game itself has no graphics options besides resolution and high detail. It is working very well with me already, especially with the patch. But I'll check it out.

I don't know the rest of your specs, but if you got 4GB RAM and a dual core processor, you should have the same results - pretty smooth gameplay, as I do. Of course it's not like 60FPS per say, but it's still very satisfying.
