ok, I love it, and actually just looked it up because of the Lady in White, thought it was an ok movie, but I am off to watch The Human Centipede: Segment 2, now that is classic to be discovered
I remember a Movie at 80's wich a boy arrives to an island to receive heritage but is pursued by his uncle who wants to kill him. At the end of course the boy learn many things and alive, come the police and the boy calls his ancle he understand.that movie is great! SOMEBODY KNOWS the tittle of that english film ?
This song and many other "period" songs were in the Steve Martin movie "Pennies from Heaven". If you've never seen it, check it out. You won't be sorry!
I remember when I found out I was pregnant with my forth child. This baby was, in my eyes, an accident in every way... little did I know, he would prove me completely wrong. The day I brought him home, I rocked him to this song and it's belonged to us ever since. I love you Ziggy 3>
This reminds me of my dad who used to sing it whilst working around the house. He did a pretty close impersonation of him too although I never admitted it when he was here ;) Love you dad, this ones for you xxx
Freddy's Revene is a bad movie and The Lady in White is just so so. None are great masterpieces, that's for sure. LOL! NOw the Green Mile is award worthy. :D
@a1fr3 "Lady in White" - exactly why I HATE movies like that that wrap an evil shroud around any piece of memorably good music as did "Clockwork Orange" with "Dancing in the Rain" and Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
I see lots of positive comments about the film "Lady In White" listed here - and while I really like this song (especially the intro), I thought the film was lousy. As soon as it ended, as I stood up to leave the theater, I sang to my friend: "Did you ever see a cheesy movie? Well, I did."
Its okay to like this song Kristinajonas, because good music never gets old. I have loved this song since I first heard it. Old Bing has some good ones out there. You're right, watch the Lady in White to get a good dose of this beauty!
kristinajonas, i"m 52 and I love old music too. Ask your friends if people will listen to "Do The Stanky Leg" in 80 years. You are an old soul and you have good taste....keep it up. Look up Annette Hanshaw and Billie Holiday.
@mianno58 I'm 33, but I like the classics too. I must have been a part of the 30s or 40s generation in a past life. I just do not like too many modern things for some reason.
@kubass2 Yes it was! I was wondering if anyone else was going to point this out. I gave you a thumbs up. I love this song and many others from this era
I love the classic horror movie lady in white was so beautiful at the end the mother and daughter's spirit reunited & floated together into the night sky at the end of the movie.
My dad used to sing this to me. God bless him - if this came out in 1932 then he was 20 when it came out. He sounded just like Bing too. Love you dad xxx
Heard it on the show "Medium" a few nights ago, shame there's no better version of it, but hey it's an old song. And this sounds just fine. Great song.
Thanks so much for posting this! Absolutely love this song, been trying to find it forever. Love the Gramophone too! We own a 1911 Victrola, still works, original owner was my husband's great-grandfather. Thanks again for posting this great song! :-)
I know this song from the end credits of Nightmare On Elm Street 2 and it has taken me years to find it online! Props to gramophoneshane for putting it on youtube!

@poisoncupcake74 Yeah that movie definitely raised the creep factor on this song. Bet Bing Crosby didn't realize he was singing a horror song.
