i do find her quite competent in her acting maybe not so consistent but still competent nevertheless. I find Aish the equivalent of Anjelina Jolie (not literally). Both are beautiful and that is that. Noone talks about their acting. i do find her quite competent in her acting maybe not so consistent but still competent nevertheless. She is definitely not a bad actor...it would be good for ppl to start noticing her instead of her beauty or whatever you call it..its the mindset of ppl, i guess that overshadows the logic and allows the shallow to come in.

I find Aish the equivalent of Anjelina Jolie (not literally). Both are beautiful and that is that. Noone talks about their acting. See Aish did such a stupendous job in Provoked and Raincoat but noone noticed it. She has this labeling that she can't seem to get rid off. Aish in provoked however completely bowled me over. Truely an awar worthy performance.

and on her talent...she isnt the best one around..Rani and Kajol are better...but she is competent in some of her roles..As you mentioned..those movies where she excelled in was not recognized as her full potential as an actor..her beauty overshadowed her...hmmm..perhaps but like me, many others are able to see her beyond her looks..i am not in awe of her beauty...she is pretty though..but i also find Rani and Vidya beautiful as well.

Also in Jodhaakbar, b/c of it being a highly mencentric film I did not think Aish was able to show her full potential. In some scenes she was good but overall its Hrithiks show all the way and he is simply fantastic. Aish like always looks fantastic.

Of course she's better than Aish...this is Kathak and its Madhuri's forte...after all she is trained in Kathak..Aishwarya is trained in Bharat Natyam...so obviously she isnt good as Madhuri. Madhs is the more charismatic dancer and has a terrrific screen persona. Aish is different...she is always different...that's her speciality..check out Jodha akbar...no actress in the current lot maybe only Rani who could have done that role..She is no Madhuri but yet she is one COMPETENT actress

I see nothing unique about Aish except her beauty. But if you want to you can call it a talent. Aish's "acting" talent have always been overshadowed by her beauty. See in umrao i thought she did very good but unfortunately her outfits and her blue eyes got more attention. also whenever she tried to do sth interesting either it did not work or she did not get noticed ( example: Chokher bali - fantastic, raincoat- very good, provoked - fantastic, guru- very good).

this is why madhuri is the best actress ever. kathak is actually all about acting and expression. There is a style in kathak where the dancer does not even stand, does everything by emoting. Madhuri expressions are stupendous.
