It may look like a beaver but the tail is not flat. Its round like a big rat hince Water Rat is also its name here. It even has hind legs that are webbed,
Rats make great pet they are so smart. I ones had a smaller rat and spent 300$ on vet bills when he got sick. I really loved that rat. I'm from Louisiana and I really want a Nutria Rat.

A Nutria is like a bigger version of a muskrat. That looks like a pretty big one, almost looks like a beaver without the tail.

It's a nutria. I have about twelve of them in my backyard, and some had babies, four! They get huge!
