@Shaggy1765 it will still ask u to update and if u do u will lose root. you can stop this by either manually loading the OTA updates found on xda, rootzwiki, teambamf forums or load a custom rom.

I followed the advice of another user here and plugged into a USB port on the back of my PC instead of one on my hub or the front of my PC and I don't know why it made a difference but it did. It worked like a charm this time around. If you're having any errors where it tells you to remove the battery and try again try changing to a USB port on the back of your PC as well.

@DanSan382 You were right, I followed the instructions using the one click App and it worked great, very easy to use and your video also helped too, it brought me back to stock room and the very first radio after rooting so pretty much like the first day it came out of the box but since rooting I have had no random reboots and the ability to freeze verizon's bloatware has def helped my battery life a lot. THX for the root man! much better than the manual root but you have to admit calling it 1 click is a bit silly. maybe it should be called 1 click, 4 enters 3 reboots and setting up gmail again. i know i know it has to wipe firmware twice and there is no way to avoid this, just pointing out the misnomer bc things like that are what cause programs to take off or fizzle ;) i like your emulator setup there, can you get this phone to run DSL? I ran in to some trouble after the downgrade; the process kept failing at "Pushing RUU". I was able to get past it by manually moving the PG05img2.zip file to the SD card and renaming it PG05img.zip, removing that step and the following sleep from the batch script, and running it again (starting after the downgrade). Simple enough, if you're somewhat familiar with batch files and basic Android phone use. If not, find someone that is to do it for you if you're having trouble.

@eamiles02 laptop or desktop? if desktop try the USB ports in the back of the computer.. sometimes the front dont give enough power. if laptop, try uninstalling the drivers, reboot and reinstall. plug the phone in and select CHARGE ONLY
