nice review man, i have the same guitar myself but i find the tremolo is annoying as hell for tuning but i swapped the neck and bridge pick ups for an EMG-HZ and a seymour duncan and they sound great. check out our covers we recorded last month on our channel and hear the guitar for yourself ;)

@nicksterguy1 What about the RG321? Cheaper, with no trem. The rg370dx is more expensive because of the tremolo, so if you aren't going to use it -> RG321

Why does my rg 370 dx sound so flat and cant hold any chord together when a little distortion added but his sounds so nice, im selling mine, dont like it.

@redzus Sounds to me like the springs in the back and the tremolo system aren't set correctly for the string gauge you're using. It's probably not intonated correctly neither. You should take it to your local music shop and have them restring it and set it up correctly.

I own this guitar, and the tuning remains perfect for weeks. I check the intonation and the tremolo system on a monthly basis though, and change strings every 2-4 weeks, all depending on how much I play.

@redzus Search YouTube for "frudua guitar floyd rose in 4" to find an excellent guide on how to set up the tremolo system on guitars with Floyd Rose or similar. It can be done very fast when done correctly, you don't have to mess around for hours like most people do.

apart the low E string, the other strings sounds pretty good on all frets.

@FiendishSpirit hmm, sounds like your neck is too straight and you just need to adjust the truss rod. Press on the first fret with your left hand, and on the 17th fret with your right hand, and look at the gap between the 8th fret and the string. The gap should be around the size of a credit card. If the gap is too small, you need to loosen the truss rod. Its important to know what your doing though, since you could damage the guitar by messing with the truss rod too much. Take it somewhere?

@gwonam5150 It wouldn't be a direct swap, you'd need to make modifications to the cavity. The Edge Pro however could be a direct swap I believe.

dude.. i need your help regarding rg370 dx.. the guy who adjusts my guitar is unfortunately out of the country. so i did on my own...

saw a lot of videos about setting up a folyd rose installing the new strings.. but.. i did as per the videos.. as it says that 'the spring tension behind the bridge shud be equal to the string tension'. that means the bridge shud be almost parallel to the body..

well i have done all this, but the playing is quite hard... it hurts my fingers :(((((

o yeah also i dont trust these guitar technicians they have ruined my acoustic as well. so dont want to take risk with my ibanez.. :)

@SHARUK89 Hey, what gauge strings are you using? All you need to do it get a lighter gauge. Lighter gauge strings will also reduce the wear on your trem, so it will last longer :)

@SHARUK89 hmm, are you sure it same stock with 10's? Maybe the guitar store put 10's on it, but it should actually comes with 9's. You should never use 10's on a floyd rose as it puts too much strain on the tremelo. If you've tried 9's, and it was still too hard to bed, try 8's. What guitar did you play before this one? The ease of bending doesn't have anything to do with the trem. Its the string gauge.

o no i am quite sure man it was 10s i cross checked the guage later.. hmmm i have played on acoustic on 11s for about 5 years.. it's my first electric guitar.... :)

and yeah it was hard on 9s as well when i did it.. probably i am not really good in troubleshooting and adjusment at the moment with the floyd rose..

ahan and for record.. i did some troubleshooting yesterday as well.. it got a bit better but still unable to do it properly..

are you sure bending doesnt have to do anything with the trem..? from bending i mean the ease of playing and softness.... but probably it's some problem with my adjustment... or maybe D;addarios are hard :)

@SHARUK89 The difference is very minor. The trem will pull forward when you bend a string (it will "give" a little) but it wouldn't cause a great or very noticeable affect in feel. Think about when you use a guitar with a fixed bridge. The bridge wont move at all when you are bending a string. But, if you play a fixed bridge guitar, and a trem guitar with the same gauge strings, it feels basically the same. Just try 8's. They will be easier to bend, and it will also be easier on your tremelo.

I am looking for a new guitar to replace my LTD KH-202. The LTD is a descent guitar, however I am looking for another to upgrade. First of all, is this guitar easy to upgrade (will I have any unusual problems putting in Dimarzio pickups)? Also, does this guitar have a good neck? This is and the body are the only parts that I can not easily upgrade, so it is important for me to know what quality the neck is.

i got the Indonesian built one, and so far had no problems with tuning, just like the other guys mentioned. In fact i was surprised at how long the tuning stays. Playing almost everyday for the past 2 years and probably had to tune it 2-3 times max lol, i agree with the pickups they suck bad (the stock INF ones)..swapped mine with a D-sonic bridge and Air Norton neck and it sounds sweet...yupp im a big petrucci tone fan:D

I have this same model made in indonesia stock picksups the only difference is the EMG HZ i have in the neck and the Edge trem stays in tune for me perfectly learn how to set yours up better i've had it for almost a year i won it in a steve vai shred contest and it stays in tune perfectly i gig with and use it in the studio and im a dimebag fun and beat the hell out of my trem and not one note goes out of tune keep on trying though you'll get it and awesome playing as well very clean good tone

@rtktheone some come with the edge zero II trem which apparently is pretty good so give it a try and if you hate it, you can put a tremol-no (look it up on youtube, its an amazing little thing) on it and only use the trem when you want it and when you dont, you can quickly change tunings as fast as a fixed bridge but with better tuning stability.
