  • @timodilo No, it will force scouting and correct reactions, weeding out those who can't react and just play standard no matter what; It's logical that if you see a supply drop and a low ground wall off, you WILL face early aggression, no matter what. It means he cut the 100 minerals for the second supply for more units.

  • Life in bronze just went harder :) Its funny how bronze players often are more experienced than on higher leagues(or the ones i´ve played and won all).. So many bronzes playing hundreds of custom games or 2v2-4v4 before laddering. Well not very interested in laddering either.

  • as protoss, everytime i see a supply+rax on lowground, i will instantly forge expand. the marines can snipe out the forge and all your buildings in front of it of course, but once they try to push in the cannons will take care of most of the units, pulling probes help you too.

    you might think you're behind but you're really not. also getting cannons can prevent the banshee cloak rush. and if terran is goign to do any type of tank push it can be stopped with proper macro because you have 2 nexus

  • @nautxtuan What about a 5 rax? unless you build like 10 cannons then you can't stop a reasonable 5 rax with an FE, you don't know if for sure this guy is cheesing or if he just likes this wall-off. and if you do build a lot of cannons to stop it, I'll just expand and steam roll you later because you dumped a ton of minerals into defenses.

  • That protoss was terrible >.> had he microed his stalker away from the pylon and sniped SCVs while he was trying to kill pylon he could have held that off very easily, and apparently I was wrong, I guess its only some positions in Shak that you can't wall off completely? I thought the ramp into the main was just barely larger than normal? Oh well, its not too hard to hold, people just have to be slightly smarter than that toss and move the stalkers and they win! :)

  • Someone tried this against me yesterday, diamond league Terran versus me playing on friend's account playing zerg >.> Shakuras plateau = scoutable which meant I had 3 spines ready for the all in, able to hold easily if scouted question though. Would building a depot be faster? Its 50 less minerals than orbital which means extra marine can be made...and don't depots make faster than orbitals?

  • @Malatonic The point is so you have mules afterwards for garanteed better economy. One mules = 4 workers or so, so it's impossible that all your scvs die yet the protoss has more than 5 probes really in a complete trade. Then your economy is booming even if you failed. Orbital command is pretty much necessary in every terran all-in strat.

  • In terms of scouting this. I think the best bet is to have presence in front of his base and see that supply drop go down on his depot on the wall off. I'm not sure if that would be too late to adjust and beat the build, but that seems like the best bet to me?

  • I've been encountering this all in a lot and it has yet to kill me, as I 2 rax pressure into FE (terran). As long as you pull back with your marines (dont lose them like the guy did in the middle of the map) and then push it with all your stvs and micro well, you shouldn't lose. Even if you lose tons of stvs, you will have 2 cc and be way way way ahead

  • pretty easy to stop this as protoss if u see it comming. u need to chrono your gateway units. 1 zealot 1 sentry and 1 stalker. force field the ramp in half to seperate scvs from marines. use probes to juke rines back whilst gateway units do damage

I'm pretty sure if you tech and get a hellion you can hold this or get 1 reaper and scout what hes doing.

  • @zomglolol123 oh okay, since the wall-off is on the low ground, you can't see up the ramp. But that's fine since you can just ol scout, right? So you just have to make sure you scout in the right direction the first time with your ol. And also make sure that he doesn't you know, actually put his barracks in somewhere that's hard to scout, instead of just grouping them right at his ramp. EZPZ

  • @amancalledstig your pretty fucking stupid. No zerg opens roachs cause they suck dick vs terran. And even if you do get roachs you would only had 5 max at 5 minutes if you rush for them. And that many scv/marines can kill those roachs. This only way to beat this is the extrmeley fast baneling nest.

  • @amancalledstig Tell me, how often do you see pros use roachs vs terran in a late game scenario vs bio and seige tanks? Never if at all. And if they do its only to try to absorb some of the splash. If you 7rr then your a loser. If your bronze don't even talk. Zerg opens 15 hatch, its a free loss because pool is too late and you can't get enough lings out to prevent the push. If you open 14/14 its a very close battles and who ever makes the better decisions and has better micro wins.

  • @metalgearsolidrulez i dont care what "pros use" im aware no one uses roaches because they arent that useful LATE GAME against terran but if your not trying to play a standard game and catch a terran off guard thats maybe doing 2 rax expand or something, roaches are good since they will only make marines and not get gas for marauders. no im not bronze, and traditionally yea, zerg does 15/16 hatch but still if u see a terran wall off that early they are hiding something so u scout early and prep

  • @amancalledstig Scout when? 9? 14? When you take your hatch? Hatch first is a free lose no mater what you do. You cant win if you get the hatchery before pool. The early drone scout doesnt see anything because 2 marines can chase it away and kill it before i can see the supply drop. The wall off on the bottom tells you nothing about this all in and requires its own specific response. If you open pool, then roach warren right after, you could hold it on some maps. Others no.

  • @amancalledstig The proper response to it is 14gas/14pool and once you see the supply depot call in, you cancel your expansion that should be 30% done, throw down 3 spines close to your hatch, make extra queen 1 overlord and spam lings. Recommened that you hotkey your drones so they help in your fight. This is the only way to stop it without going for a blind counter. On zel naga the push comes 15 secs before spines finish. Speed should finish right before they are at your natural also.

  • Looks effective against protoss and zerg (early hatch) but Terran should be able to defend it, as should zergs who go pool first.

    I expect this to be more effective at higher leagues because most players are setting up for an expansion when you attack.

  • Ive had this, or a similar 3 rax marine all in build done vs me as terran a few times, you lose if you don't have a bunker and its close if you do have one. Its easy to beat some of the best players if they aren't prepared for it, they play the same game we do.

  • as protoss they can just get like 2 sentrys and FF which will give them 2-4 FF's depending on when they get them and they can build up a force

  • The timing on a 7 roach rush hard counters this. 7 roaches by the time your marines arrive.

    If the Terran fakes the allin and FE's instead, crush him with the roaches and deny the natural.

  • This is not "easy" to stop, its just that most players have adopted to a more macro-based gameplay, and then someone develops a great rush strat. In like 2-3 of those In all of the matches (?) the enemy had already build or was building an expansion, thats 300-400 minerals + workertime spent on a building that remains unused until defeat. This is not ridiculous, just someone taking advantage over the fact that most people play macro setups. Just like protoss spamming colossi today against marine

  • @IssiBang you pay 50 extra minerals to get the same supply and mules (300 minerals) which is needed to make the marines while you are in their base TERRAN sh*t up

  • ok first game the guy lost a bunch of marines for no reason and was doing an early FE and reaction time was delayed on the bunkers, 2nd game it was TvZ on close position (gl zerg) This build is the same thing as bit by bit marines + all scv all in T_T if you don't know who bitbybitprime is well.... w/e

  • @budrick3 That's the beauty you keep them from seeing up the ramp and you can hide the marines on the top.

  • You should turn on the building grid option in your menu settings. Your walls off wont be a problem anymore.

  • Easy to stop, this is a really old build and a faster version of the 5 rax.

    Protoss : Make a wall of pylons for some time, they can take them down at top of ramp and a sentry will come out, forcefield and it will give you enough time to chrono some zealots.

    Terran : 1 Helion

    Zerg : Standard fast spine and move into main when you see all in,

  • this is easily scouted and blocked as protoss, either get sentry zealot and ff ramp, or forge cannon.

  • A slight tweak would be to have all your SCV's cash in the minerals they have before you all in. Then your even more ahead if it fails.

  • Zoia, about the walloffs, you can go into the options and switch a setting to show a building grid around building so you can see where units can fit through and where you cannot build buildings etc.

  • hey turn on your build plan thing... its in the same menu where you turn on the timer and its on the left hand side right next to reduce violence. what it does is show the game in like a graph when you build a building so you can see if a unit can get by

  • The only problem is that this is a cheese build. Once the cheese is no longer effective and you don't have the skills to otherwise hold off the higher level players, your ranking will plummet.

    Also, promoting cheese is terrible for helping viewers improve. Sure, people will know how to win games through luck and opponents lack of scouting, but they will never improve outside the frame of these 5 min games.

    I can picture it already, thousands of players in master league as terran, with this cheesey all in. Then, it stops working, and suddenly they realise they dont know how to play. Its the 4gate phenomenon all over again...

  • It looks like the factor in this build is how well you can micro your marines. I'm not sure it is even possible to counter it unless you blind spine and ling pump as zerg, or go 2 gate and blind pump lots as toss. Then again marine micro can dominate lots. I'm not sure.

  • I just tried this, against a Speedling expo, he made 8 lings, a queen, and was making 2 spines, He also scouted inside my base (damn wall off :P ) and i still won,

    This is a pretty awesome build if your micro is good, maybe this is the equivalent to a 6 pool?

  • @6621790 Are you mad because you can't handle it? It's quite easy to stop. Just assume something's up when you see a lowground wall off. If you're terran, get a bunker, just in case. If you're toss, get a forge + cannon or a sentry. As zerg, get either some crawlers or a baneling nest and you'll be fine.

    Not one of those will put you severely behind if you are mistaken and he doesn't all in. Besides, if he doesn't all in and walled off on LG, you can pick the wall off later on.

  • @6621790 I did. But this is a build that only works when people aren't familiar with it. I lost to it once, won the second game without losing alot of drones. I am zerg too.

    I killed it while doing a 15 hatch.

  • @MairouTV Of course people will know how to beat it I've already completed a build as zerg that stops this really well and it isn't all in. Builds like these are a flash in the pan and never last but it is fun to see them while they are here.

  • @Mitarohmar naw banes take too long. I fought an 1100 master zerg 6 times before we found a way to beat it. 15 hatch 15 pool 2 spins at expo 2 queens and pure ling production = gg

  • @Mitarohmar nope, cant get out enough sentrys quick enough, i tried it. terran can just wait until the first 1-2 ff are gone and then push in with even more marines.

  • @JeanRhino I haven't stopped it yet as a protoss, since I kinda stopped playing protoss, however, I am convinced that some forcefields, along with decent control will get you the time you need to get out the untis you need. Remember, the 40 seconds (2 forcefields) your opponent is sitting at your ramp, is 40 seconds you have income, and he doesn't (other than a mule/a few left behind scvs) that allow you to get out more units. You will have to pull probes, but you should be able to stop it.
