to solve the lack of a belt clip, can the whole otter box fit into some kind of leather flip case? I was thinking that maybe an iphone case would work, since the ipod touch is thinner than the iphone - would the otterbox make it closer to the thickness of an iphone to fit into an iphone case?

The plastic clips that hold the two clams together CAN break. Mine (the upper one) is broken after 7 month use. Otterbox needs to do a better job related to product quality.

I have an extra protective layer on my screen that I put on. It's the kind that just sticks to the screen. That seems to help a little bit. I have almost considered taking off the built in protective screen because it does cause some inconvenience.

just ordered one. I've had my ipod for a while but no case, so sadly the whole back is completely scratched up, oh well i guess. Nice review, I've never seen pics or videos of the case other than the ones on the otterbox website, so i'm glad to see how big it actually is from a real perspective.
