Fighting games, ah they are beautiful I love all of them.
From the Cheezy WAR GODS, to Street fight with a bit of tekken on the side, and then a saturday night with FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4. MVC2 on a monday morning, with MVC3 on a tuesday morning. Mortal Kombat takes a Midnight Friday. And finally Soul Calibur Squeezes itself in every other month. I don't let the stupidity of bashers, or cheap players, or mashers, or uber nerds. Nah I grew up on this crap :) so I always try to spare some time.
I wonder if the last Arcade version of Final Tuned will ever be brought over to the HD consoles. As I understand it has extra content and rebalanced mechanics, it would be the 2nd time a VF game gained a console perfect port.
Plus, I am getting tired of these Tekken purists bash on Virtua Fighter. OK, I play both of the series and have fun with them. I am not an elitist of either fighting game franchise. I know a fighting game when it has a flaw, but this is ridiculous. I don't care about what franchise is better because every fighting game franchise has its flaw.
@fl21id To be honest, I played Tekken 3 before I even tried a VF game, and my first VF game was VF2 on the Saturn, and I was really impressed. In fact I grew to like VF more then Tekken. Especially when I realized exactly how much Tekken stole from VF. I like Tekken, but VF is by far better IMO. Most Tekken purists have never played VF anyway. Besides, if VF didn't exist, Tekken wouldn't have either. In gameplay, and characters. Just look a Paul's moves, and then look at Akira as one example.
I do have both Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and Virtua Fighter 5. I have to say that Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is one of the best in the Virtua Fighter Series. VF4 Evolution has two new characters, Brad Burns and Goh Hinogami. New stages have been added, more accessories, new moves, graphics are better, play against the real life champions, and since this game came out on the 10th Anniversary of Virtua Fighter, they put the 10th Anniversary Edition of Virtua Fighter.
@teh2Dgamer For 20 bucks for an enhancement, yes it did. It was released as a Greatest Hits title. Here's a fact, did you know that the 10th Anniversary Edition of Virtua Fighter was a stand-alone disc in Japan?
I actually managed to pick up a copy of Virtua Fighter 3 in a secondhand store a while back...unfortunately, it happened to be an import copy, which my American Dreamcast can't play :(
@AnEvilMuffin Before buying a converter you might wanna try burning a boot CD. That's what I use to play jap games on my PAL DC, and it works on most of them.
Yeah, you should definitely get Evolution. It's cheap, and improves on VF4 in every way. Except they took out the A.I training mode. I miss being able to train the CPU to fight how I fight and watch them. That mode is the reason I need to purchase the original VF4 again.

The best line in video game history. This game is really shitty. My opinion.

Remember when you'd all pile on the same couch as your friends, and watch more fighting over the controllers than in the game?

The VF series always had some sweet music man.

I like Virtua Fighter because it is plain. Sometimes less is more and that should be the motto to fighting games, sadly that isn't the case often.

Is it where you shoot everyone in the head then spin three times while shooting in the air?
