Actually No More Heroes was originally unscensored, but changed. I dont know why, but the original trailers were all blood, and then the announcment came that the Japenese and Europian version would be censored.

I'd like to point something out about the game and it censored versions.

First of all, it's a 'M'ature game, so right off the bat, there shouldn't be anyone to censor to/for.

Second, it's a game about assassins and killing people so the game has to be gory for the theme's sake.

Third, the blood and gore is suppose to be so over-the-top as it to be surrealistic, similar to how Kill Bill was with a similar plot to No More Heroes.

The reason there's a difference in regions (appart from the OFLC having a stick up it's arse about video games, refusing to give R ratings) is because Suda51 intended the black cloud version, but wanted to make gorey games for Americans. Even though the black cloud version was what he intended, I still wanna play the gore version... Too bad Nintendo blocked the freeloader for the Wii.

Probably people have more feeling of 'satisfaction' of killing enemies. Eirher ways are good. Watching the enemies 'poof'ing away sometimes is a lot less disturbing and much less risky if a young kid looks at the game.

Its a text to speech generator, it processess the text and creates a simulated speech based on the sounds of the letters. It isnt pre recorded sounds of the assassin's names. That would be weird.
