i got an evga 9800 gtx. it plays crysis 30 fps ultra high dx 10. duo core 1.8 ghz, 4 gigs of nvidia sli ram at 800 mhz. 800 wat psu. 58x mobo tri sli. the card is worth the 150 bucks on ebay.

You guys are wrong. 4870 X 2 is the strongest SINGLE GPU solution. But if you add CF (CrossFire) and SLI then GTX 280 3 - Way SLI is better than 4870 X2 in CF.

I would say that it is in fact a single card solution. Although it has two video cards, there is only one pci-e express slot and it can run on a non sli motherboard, so i dont see how it isnt a single card solution.

the ATI cards run at the same speed as the core clock... the Nvidia cards run at a serperate speed which is MUCH faster... the 9800gtx runs at 1688mhz whereas the 3870 core clock is the same speed as the core clock which is 650 (cant remeber exactly) so they have more but nividia is SO MUCH faster

there was a 850watts PSU for quad sli i dont know which graphic card is that i dont think if those can handle 2 gx2 i didnt try it.. in my spec i have 1200watts for my 2 gx2 and i dont use that comp. too much i like 3 gtx with 850watts than the 2 gx2 with 1200watts its like a heater if i run it like 5 hours im swettin in my room haha..

You have incorrect information on the 9800Gx2. The 9800gx2 has 256 stream processors, not 128. The Gx2 has X2 of the GTX's chips, but are clocked lower to prevent heat. If you compare Quad SLi vs. 3-Way GTXs at the same core clock/shader, Quad SLi will win. You are better off with the GX2 for the Cost/Performance Ratio.
