  • Oh those two women playing the maids were wonderful actors in whatever they did.

  • The wooden parrot needs to get a grip of his life.

  • I cry every time Jane and Michael beg Mary Poppins to stay and then when she flies away, such a good movie! Wish the stage version was more like the movie than the books

  • what a twat of a fucking wooden parrot !

  • the Lad that plays Michael is no longer with us he died from malaria he got when he went on holiday.

  • This always makes me cry :) looking back, my dad was a work-obsessed stock broker who was constantly disappointed in his children and was painfully British, so that may be why. These days he just really gets on my nerves. WHERE WERE YOU MARY POPPINS? WHERE WERE YOU??

  • Good Bye Mary Poppins, don't stay away too long :-)

  • this movie came out way before i was born, but man, this makes me being a kid, wish i could relieve my childhood again

  • - Godd Bye Shery Bobbins

    - Good Bye Superman

  • Every single time i cry when mary poppins leaves! :'(

  • how did the children die

  • Magic

  • this brings me memories of my childhood like anyone of us :)

  • this video always brings tears too my eyes

  • LETS GO FLY A KITE!

  • no, it isn't strange that you are crying. its just childhood.

  • 27 people had no childhood

  • You're never too old for Disney. Me and my friends link arms, skip, and sing this at the top of our lungs.....IN HIGHSCHOOL! :D

  • Anyone can look perfectly respectable doing ANYTHING if they have a spiffy suit like that :)

  • @TheThomastank1 like me... when i was 6 i tried it... and hurt myself.

  • @TheThomastank1 Yeah xD

  • Idk why but everytimwe she flies with teh umbrella makes me laugh so hard. When i was 8 and theres was a stong wind i went outside and opened the umbrella to see if i could fly xD

  • @SSCC2015 could you?

  • @TheRyanHund Sadly no,but mom kept letting me do it for the rest of the year xD

  • i was watching this movie yesterday, and i started crying at this part, it's soo amazing!!

  • When I finished watching this film -- oh so long ago -- I spent about two years singing the songs, non-stop. I've read the original books since and found them a lot better, so I never watched the film again.

I still know all the songs by heart.

    My throat's all strange.

  • this ending always bring tears to my eyes :')

  • 2:10 lol that guy he's father died and he's not sad at all =)

  • @Maarten13th Well, his father died laughing, happier than he'd ever been in his life!

  • the one that play the father and the one that play the boy are dead, soooooo yea...

  • i''ll never cry happier tears than i did when i finished this movie.

  • Somehow this almost make me cry....

  • the sherman brothers.

  • i have a question

  • So the other day, my friend and I were hanging out working on something for school, and out of nowhere she started singing this song... so of course I joined in =). Best Childhood Movie of All Time.

  • Nice. I haven't seen this in 12 years.

  • Mary Poppins is such a teenage girl. Just because your friends hang out with some other people for one day doesn't mean they have forgotten you and isn't an excuse for you to run away and never talk to them again. Those kids would have got home and have been utterly heart broken that SHE left without saying goodbye.

  • @UnitedColorsofTom No, no, no, the whole point of her being there was to reunite them with their parents in the end!

  • @taylorawrr5 I know, and of course the story wouldn't work without that, seeing as she only arrived to piece the family back together. But in reality that is not how things work. In the real world someone like Mary Poppins would end up being a friend of the family for life, rather than just buggering off never to be seen again.

  • Let's go fly a KIKE! up to the highest height... Let's go fly a kike and send it soaring lol

  • okay moment of truth, how many of us tried to float away with an umbrella after seeing this movie cause I know i tried several times hahaha

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. i got a kite today from the dollar store and it BROKE! LAUGH OUT LOUD!

  • Gosh..I've got tears in my eyes, watching this. That's my childhood right there. I don't remember how often I saw Mary Poppins but I've always loved it! I love her! Wish there would still be nannies like that...

  • @GottaSlashIt there never were.

    The nanny is inside you.

  • :):):):) cool!!!!!!!!

  • jeez, even the parrot has an english accent ;-)

  • @clb393 yess!he has french accent!!!but in my opinion, the french accent is better than english accent in this video, because,,it was funny!! :D:D:D:D:):):).

  • I've got a really great Dad, and when he saw this bit he smiled with tears in his eyes. Same for me. It reminded him of how much he loved us...and we him.

  • I always loved that green and yellow kite with the sellotape, i have no idea why :')

  • 26 people had a wooden leg named Jones

  • @UnwantedStudios3 Smith*

  • @VegitoGogita yet thats the joke lol

  • lol that guys so high

  • wonderful movie its timeless.

  • You killed our father but you did it with a good joke so we're going to promote you! :D

Seriously though, lovely song and Julie Andrews in one of her best performances. Practically perfect indeed...

  • you can never bead the original merry poppins

  • 25 People Died Laughing

  • 25 people have obviously never flown a kite...

  • David Tomlinson was actually my favourite actor when i was a wee kid...I tried to get my dad to grow a mustache like that...

  • Oh! And at 3:39--

Am I the only one that tried to do that as a kid?

    xD

  • @Timamalao Nope, but i'm a boy so i never had an umbrella :( To reply to your other message too, i'm a 24yr old male and this song grounds me too when i'm feeling down. It's nice to come back to when you're not in the mood for anything in particular.

  • @anonymootle Absolutely. :)

  • @Timamalao Nope. I tried it as a kid with my first umbrella, which I broke in the process. :P

  • @darthvalor07 Haha!! So cute! :D I feel ya, I feel ya.

  • Great and memorable song and movie. :) Amazing how an up-coming senior in high school can remember this song and feel like she's home again. <3 Thanks for posting!! :') Love it!! I can't stop smiling! :3

  • at 1:20, i was like, STOP! YOUR GONNA HIT THE POLE!!! STOP!

  • @pickles454 LOL!!! so true

  • That's gratitude for you didn't even say goodbye

  • I wish I was an aristocrat in Edwardian London.

  • There is a great message to parents of today, so busy. Take time to be a mother and father to your kids because in 18 years, they will be gone!

  • I wish all the people in my neighborhood would join me in song whenever I wanted to fly a kite.

  • Why don't they make films like this any more? It's wonderful

  • does he say fly a kike

  • @wallingben

no, he says fly a kite :P

  • La parte del padre dei bambini è la più commovente al finale, bello ed educativo, ciao da Napoli Italy.

  • that will be quite enough of that thank you

  • R.I.P to the actor of Mr Banks

  • BEST PART OF THE FILM.

  • The most beautiful, joyful and best ending in history of Walt Disney.

  • I just finished flying a kite with my kids, simple moments like those make life all worth it!

  • what has happened to society today! i lived through the best generation a child could go through. now they have retarted spongebob and all these brain dead movies and shows on tv now that makies kids act crazy and mannerless.

  • this is the best ending ever

  • ohhh mary poppins, i could teach you some tricks! ; )

  • Such a shame that Mathew Garber died in 1977 aged just 21.

  • I head to sing this song at my school for choras

  • I think I want to go fly a kite...

  • i wish everyone burst into song in random moments

  • 23 people don't know how to fly a kite LOL.

  • I like how to tape on the kite makes the 'pi' symbol

  • That what I said sir. Go fly a kite. Oh, no, sir. No I don't mean you personally. LOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hate to die from laughthing it would hurt lol

  • :)

  • Lets be honest. He disappeared for the entire night.... It doesn't take that long to fix a kite. He definitely hit up some UK brothels before he came back and realized he needed an excuse to be gone the entire night.

  • @snerjeck UK brothel?! I suppose that is possible lmao!

  • soooo weird that Dick Van Dyke (Bert) already is 85... life is so fast =o

  • @LeonieBruce Dick Van Dyke is timeless.

  • I flew a penguin kite today; in inspiration of this song. I thought it was quite a beautiful innocence I don't get to feel much these days.<3

  • Always enjoyed the way this movie ended. And Feed the Birds has always been one of my favorites. Walt Disney's too I understand.

  • @jetranger2007 Feed the Birds is one of my favorites! Now that I'm older it has a whole new meaning- I love it!

  • @rayjinflo Is it anti-Semitik to say Let's Go Fly A Kike?

  • @rayjinflo Is Kathie Lee anti-kike? She did the shunning of her jew-jew-Judasism to become a Christian. But her DNA is still fatal Jew Tay Sax.

  • they forgot Mary Poppinssssss when going for kite flying :(

  • Love this song!!

  • THANKS FOR REMINDING ME THAT I'M 300 YEARS OLD!

  • I've always wondered where she goes at the end. Does she go back to her home-dimension that's inhabited by other hot, British Nannies? Does she live on a mystically-cloaked island like Wonder Woman? Does she keep flying in to outer-space to help children on other planets? Or does she just pose as a regular person when she's not nannying?

  • @haywood86 Read the book! ;)

  • @haywood86 - She moved on and became a governess for the Von Trapp Children. LOL

  • There are no black people in this movie except when Dick Van Dyke gets soot all over his face and that's more like black-face. Yet nobody censored Mary Poppins like they did Huckleberry Finn which starred a black man as a hero who was braver than all the white folks in the book combined. One little word it said. It starts with "N" and rhymes with gravedigger.

  • 23 people need to go fly a kite!

  • @BenJabituya what's funny is that's also a british insult XD go fly a kite is like saying buzz off or get lost

  • He's changed since "WHATS ALL THIS WHATS ALL THIS ! "

  • "That's what I said, sir. Go fly a kite! Oh, no, sir. No, I don't mean you PERSONALLY!" - LOL!!!

  • E pura utopia,ma sarebbe bello ritornare bambini anche solo per un minuto...,è bellissimo sognare ciò..,non svegliatemi!!!!!
