Actually Lhasa had a Mexican father and a Lebanese and Jewish American mother and was born in New York, thus she was an American citizen, not sure if she renounced, doubt it. She was definitely an American citizen, probably Mexican and perhaps Canadian as well. Anyhow Canada and France is where she clearly felt at home. She is without borders and without time for me in any case. She was simply, amazing, words can't describe what her music means to me.

It s just that here in canada, she always said she felt like home in montreal more than anywhere else. her albums were all made in montreal with awesome musicians. but of course, before being mexican, canadian, french or american, she was just human, world citizen. she sung in 3 languages. the way she felt it.

Errique merci pour les belles paroles .... j'ai trouvé il ya quelques années, Lhasa et j'aime sa voix, parfois agressive, et parfois mélancolique. Une voix qui va encore rester "toujours en vie.
