My first thought when I listened to this was " yeah his voice is really catchy but not strong and powerfull for me" Now when I'm listening to this over and over again I can tell with no doubt this is the best performance. That voice has something... I don't know, It looks like this song started to be more painfull because of Tipe Johnson's voice.

Esta canción la había escuchado antes con Adam Gontier y me parecio aceptable al sonarme un poco EMO por la voz del tipo, la escuche despues en el wacken del 2011 con Tipe Jhonson y encontre una de las mejores canciones que ha hecho este grupo de hecho ayer los vi en concierto en Bogotá y aparte de ser un grupo impresionante Tipe le da un toque más metalero en las voces esta versión esta muy buena

After reading all the fuss about which is better, I went to check the version with that Adam guy and, I have to say, I like this singer and this version of the song much better. :) The singer's featured in this video voice sounds softer, more mature in a way, much more suitable for my ear, while the Adam's voice has that certain something which I don't like... Different people, different tastes, I guess. :) The other version is more energetic, probably suitable for wilder listeners. :)

Both songs are entirely different versions that you can't ever compare with each other. You can obviously have your preference, but saying that either 1 of the 2 version sucks is the language of a fool.

Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy (Tipe Johnson, so I read in the comments) actually is the better singer of the 2. It's a lot more difficult to sing a more sensitive, introverted ballad-ish kind of song like this version in a powerful kind of way than the version Adam sang.
