  • You should define 'essential oil'. It looks like you used a base oil such as jojoba/almond/sesame etc for their glowy and moisturising effect. Essential oils are very concentrated chemicals with specific uses and toxicities and not all of them can be used so haphazardly.

  • Thats beautiful!! But complete suicide for someone like me with oily skin...

  • the model is soo beautiful and they always have great skin sooo please try this on normal people to see the different

  • can anyone tell me if it will affect the lasting power of the foundation ?

  • Will jojoba oil work?

  • @Dominiquegmusic Hi, we love jojoba oil! Just make sure you use a small drop if you have oily skin.

  • what essential oil did you use?

  • @MissBeautyGal Hi, we used NUXE Dry Oil! Link to their website is in our description.

  • I really liked this video...but I wish you would ship to Canada :)

  • um when should my birch box arrive because it hasn't and its the 14 its only my second birch box? my first 1 came on the 11th and no one replies to my emails?

  • @TheMisteryvampire Hi, you should have received an email with tracking information for your box! If you haven't or the tracking information isn't working for some reason, we can look into it! Boxes ship by the 10th so it's very possible that it's still enroute. Can you message me your email address? I will check on your account. -Lorelei at Birchbox

  • @birchboxtv got it! btw i made a vid check it out

  • The way the makeup artist applies the moisturizer is soo rough. That will only make the skin wrinkle a lot faster.

  • Oily/acne-prone skin: DON'T try this trick! Acne is caused by a clog of sebum and dead skin in the follicle or pore, and the bacteria that can cause redness and all that ickiness (P. acnes) feeds on oil. Essential oils are different than the sebum secreted by the skin but offer the same food supply.

As always, be sure to patch test essential oil on the inside of your elbow to test for allergies. You may be allergic to the plant from which the oil is derived.

Teint Miraclé is an alterative. ;]

  • can u please use more affordable products next time??

  • @fballcheerleader09 birchbox is more high end. if you're looking for drugstore tutorials, this probably isn't the place.

  • im weird...but the model has really good posture! ahah but anywayssss, loving the videos lately :)

  • wow i have oily skin and i wanna mix oil with my foundation :\

  • Great tips! Please show the finished product longer. We only got to see her finished face for about half a second! Thanks Birchbox!

  • love it :)

  • But won't setting it with powder, to make it last more than an hr, make it not dewy?

  • i can't wait to do this!

  • i love that models top!!!

  • would this work with very oily skin? The essential oils i mean. great video!

  • @lauragrace13 Hi! For oily skin you should use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation and you can skip the essential oils if you feel your skin is too shiny. It's important to note that essential oils are different than the oil in your skin and shouldn't cause you to break out. Some are heavier than others so keep that in mind as well!

  • I loooooove Birchbox!!

  • The model looked like she had beautiful dewy skin even before the makeup was applied. Lucky girl
