Edward McCall was a fine actor, he was superb in 'Callan.' Always thought he was ten years too old when he played 'The Equaliser,' he was a tad too old to be convincing as a ruthless hardman by that time. Still, good entertainment all the same. RIP Ed

gosh, I loved the Equalizer! Amazing show and Edward Woodward had such an acting career. He and the show are sorely missed.

I have looked to Edward Woodward for an example in acting and his insight for writing. And, I have looked to The Equalizer for ideas in directing and writing. Both will be sorely missed. Wish I could have met him.

lol . . there was a kid living near me growing up in Ireland in the 80's and he bought a 5 spot of hash from some guy. When his older brother found out he went and beat the guy up who sold it to him. He got the nickname "the equalizer" . . lol
