  • 1:31 Greed is good lol

  • @TheMarksmenCat Greed is good. That policy would get us further along than "Green is good"

  • A heat-pump more efficient?

    BWAHAHAHAHA!

  • I used to think energy star was some private program that actually worked in finding out which products are energy efficient. Then I found out it's an EPA program, and I KNEW something was up. The GAO should be staffed in full with libertarians, so gov't will REALLY be checked and monitored for all its fraud, waste, abuse, etc.

  • Thank you LibertyPen! It is good to hear some news of a government agency that actually does something positive with our money. It will be interesting to see how this plays out...Now, if I saw some real investigative journalism by the mainstream media, I wouldn't even know where I was.

  • if only more people hear this sort of info! thx for putting it out there.

  • Governmentscams

  • Mr. Stossel...you da man!

  • Big Business + Big Government = Disaster

  • @spol07

Big Business + Small Government = Disaster (look what happened to USA)

  • @zbigniewzapora haha, You didn't just call the U.S government a small government. Are you even American? I'm not and I know U.S government is involved in everything.

  • @spol07

It started out as small thats why i put "look what happened to USA" in parenthesis to emphasize historical context.

  • Man look at this circlejerk of retarded comments. Why can't this guy do his report without an insulting tone?

  • @stingyzx "circlejerk of retarded comments." thanks for showing us how to make a retarded comment without an insulting tone.

  • @fzqlcs rotfl! Nail on the head....

  • @YosemitePam yea! you go girl!

  • @fzqlcs hey, I fit right in!

  • Peter Schiff 2010!!!

    HE NEEDS OUR SUPPORT!

  • I want a gas-powered alarm clock...

  • at least there's two people that work for FOX that are real and attempt to expose what's going on without flip-flopping.... the rest of the opinion shows are as farce as MSNBC and CNN....Truly glad that Stossel and Napolitano are on the air... all FOX needs to do now is replace Hannity, O'Riley, and quite a few other personalities, maybe bring in Lou Dobbs... and it could be a great channel to watch...

  • @jsjs525

So apparently you have issues with freedom of opinions?

  • Comment removed

  • @kmg501

Not at all... do you have a problem with me expressing my opinion?

As someone who watches CNN/MSNBC/FOX/ETC, I fail to see how my stated preferences would imply that I have "issues with freedom of opinions."

    Feel free to explain....

  • @jsjs525

You suggested that Fox dump a number of people presumably because you don't agree with their views. That doesn't seem very tolerant to me. Is someone forcing you to watch them?

  • @kmg501

No I simply expressed what I thought would make for a good news/personality channel.... Do you have issues with my freedom of opinion or personal preferences.... Because it's not exactly a wise practice to assume so much about a person that makes a comment where the word limit is 500 characters.... Did I by any chance mention someone that you are a fan of? And no, no one is forcing me to watch them, but I do anyways....

  • @jsjs525

Express your opinion as much as you would like to but what you said was that Fox should dump those people which obviously means that you want them silenced. I don't know what we are even talking about anymore as you made your sentiment clear.

    .

    Just turn the channel...

  • @kmg501

And yet, you continue to presume to know exactly what my comment meant as it correlates to your interpretation and personal biases... What I'm talking about now is how you keep making inferences about my comment, that is not only limited to what it could mean because of a character limit but that you've continued to debase based on what you believe I meant. If you wanted me to expand on what I meant, all you had to do is ask, and remember; I didn't make you comment on what I wrote...

  • @jsjs525

    Lou Dobbs is a baffoon.

  • @selfrealizedexile

maybe so.... It's your opinion.... but at least he asks the hard questions and has no problems with being critical of any president and what they do... he did it with Clinton, did it to Bush (especially concerning the PATRIOT Act), and he was doing it with Obama...

  • @jsjs525

The problem is he doesn't know what is nececssarily a problem and what is not, particularly in economics. So, when he's critical of issues, half the time he's making a baffoon of himself. Stossel had him on on one of these LibertPen videos, making a fool of Dobbs.

  • @selfrealizedexile

True, and I've seen that video... nonetheless he is still a decent personality to have on other issues, and manages to bring a different viewpoint than the typical Rep/Dem view, I'm not saying that he is the ultimate personality on opinion/news broadcasting but in my opinion there are worse...

  • @jsjs525

It's not just economics. He doesn't understand the benefits of immigration. He probably subscribes to the lump of labor fallacy just like every anti-immigration activist. The only problem is that we living in a welfare-state; so, we can be flooded by people just wanting welfare instead of a job. This is why it's not necessarily a bad thing they "live in the shadows," although, no doubt, some of them are still getting welfare either directly or indirectly. We need to reform

  • @jsjs525

welfare and abolish the minimum wage, and then give them amnesty. More laborers in a market menas more can be produced. People like Dobbs either don't understand that or willfully ignore it and take a hard, almost racist (no spanish in America-type of mindset, etc.) stance. Germans and Italians spoke their native tongue among each other when they immigrated. I'm sure there were xenophobes back then regarding that, too.

  • I invented a car that lasts forever and runs on good intentions once--but, when I finally sobered up, I couldn't remember how I'd done it of where I'd left the plans. (What a bitchin' party that was!) I did manage to Energy Star approval for it, though. :P

  • I always suspected those energy stars were from random test.... now I know they may even be bogus... just like most of the gov run programs.

And liberal idiots wonder why the average American didn't want the gov to take over the HC industry.

  • Spending other peoples money against their wishes is morally wrong. The GAO is effective and actually in the interest of the public by helping to find bad spending. I hope it does not get shut down.

BTW: I want a gasoline powered alarm clock. Would they give rebates for them? I have to make one and find out.
