Some of those Visual FX shots with the ships duking it out are on par with episode 2 and maybe even episode 3's visuals. The only visual FX shot from this trailer, that looks like it needs work is the burning city part at 0:25.

Also, the guy with the red shoulder pads at 0:20 looks kind of like a young non blind Jerec from the Jedi Knight series.

It's a shame because I really liked it but the wait is too long.

Very good guys, I am a fan of fan films. Don't take what some of these star wars "fans" seriously. If they really new what they were talking about, they would know that Lukas loves and supports fan films and young aspiring film makers. Whether the stories be with the cannon or just your own creative ideas. Keep it up, your doing great work.

I suppose they will find a way to explain why are there Imperial stormtroopers still around after 100 years of the fall the Empire, or why are they still using X-Wing or even Clone War era fighters. Unless all those are flashback scenes, of course.

The Stormtroopers are technically canon in the Legacy time period. An in game explanation could be that they're reusing old technology/designs because it is either more cost effective or serves some other purpose; such as keeping the Empire looking "traditional" as a sign of it's reputation. It's kind of like having the samurai guarding the Japanese President in modern times; or the Genoharadan guarding Emperor Palpatine. (I know that neither example really happened...)

The only thing that could hurt this film is the acting, because it looks flippin' BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, with most fan films the acting always leaves something to be desired, I pray that it is not so with this film. Again, this looks Masterfully Epic!

It is mentioned that the cast & crew aren't fluent in English with the release of the Behind the Scenes Docs... But I really must say that it doesn't appear that way to me. I am a die-hard Star Wars fan and as good as this feature promises to be, I'd say I don't care if it isn't in English at all. I will still watch it... Over.. And over again! I can't wait! This trailor is impressive. I do have a costuming question. It looked like I saw a Captain Adama and Colonial Warrior Costume from the clasic version of Battlestar Galactica. As a director I would do everything in my power to avoid looking like characters from an entirely different series had infiltrated my movie. Otherwise, good work and I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Whenever it is, these individuals deserve to be applauded for their efforts. Some people laugh at the green screen, I think that with the resources they have and the vastness of the project these animators did a spectacular job!

that's not yet for sure - a new speculation is that it could be released at the end of this year...

atm the sound fx & music are produced, but the main problem is the remaining scope of VFX -

ToD has a comparably very small vfx core crew and most of the other "artists" haven't really done much or even nothing and were gone again very quickly... :(

The only actor that isn't fantastic is Carolina who plays Arianna (and a few bit part actors). I think the standard of acting is in parts TOO GOOD to be Star Wars. Now, a little bird tells me the sequals (written by a new writer) and will surpass this in terms of character development and special effects.

Looks good but if this takes place 94 years after the events in RotJ then why do the Stormtroopers still look the same? The New Republic is STILL using X-wings or is just one, a flying relic, Luke's. The Empire is still around after all this time, surely there is a new Emperor then.....

Well the New Republic only got a few new ships after epVI being the E-Wing and the K-wing fighter and bomber. I think X-wings were still in use.

well in Star Wars Legacy (set 137 years after RotJ) Stormtroopers look practically identical only their helmets are slightly different, so if they look the same in an official source, its fine here
