He is also a brilliant mechanical engineer - did four years at Meiji U before being kicked out (for being a slacker) - they awarded him a special Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2004, however.

His solid mechanical engineering skills are found several of his sculptures and art showcased recently by the Cartier Foundation in Paris - for example the huge locomotive he designed and built.

He also apparently designed 4 video games.

@JBDryMartini Nobody's actually saying he's a genius, just that he's multitalented. I can't play piano, even though my mom tried to teach me how. The closest thing to a musical instrument I can play is timpani.
