the three rides on the tower are honestly the best rides i've been on. the sensation you get on the big shot barely outpowers that of the insanity, and the xscream is a close third. the big shot makes me feel like im f*cking orgasming.

Go at night, I thought the whole Stratosphere thing would be lame, but the "big" hotels are all little things as you are boosted well above anything in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area. WHOOSH!

They built that tower in 1993 or so when I was in high school in Vegas. Little known fact; the tower was fully engulfed in flames setting back the opening day by a few months. Apparently the scaffolding inside and out caught fire. It looked like a giant birthday cake candle. Oh and after about a year of successful big shot rides I took my first launch. It was awesome. Go at night!

@tridentsplashxx i think (and it is only a rumour that I heard) That the Stratosphere park has only got rid of the red roller coaster that went around the top of the tower, but there are still rides at the top of it.

ugh i had an opportunity to ride this but i backed down. well i could of rode it but no one in my family would ride it with me. after seeing this i am sooooooo mad that i didnt ride it. IT LOOKS SOOOOOO FUN!!!! and i just turned 13. i dont know the next time im going to vegas. /: probaly when im in my 20s. :( :( :(

@usuck329 funny you should say that, because I went on it at night, around 11 pm. I had been travelling from the UK for around 16 hours (including connections), and decided I needed waking up. Went to the tower, went up the elevator, wandered around the observation deck then went on the ride. It certainly woke me up! Being fired up at high speed isn't too bad, but its VERY uncomfortable when you are on the downward, because all the pressure pushes your organs up into your chest.

That is so much fucking fun, when I went on for the second time, they just sat us at the bottom for like 30secs Then the light came on and we just shot up!!! Its so freaky when your at the top because you can't really see anything below you...and that makes you feel so much higher. Also you can't tell when your falling, you just come out of your seat then drop back in, so much fun!!!
