@howtostretch I cannot describe you how much these excercises have helped me, over the first week the popping was reduced about 90%, and now I have my hopes it can actually remove it. Thank you so much.
I had the clicking sounds for few years but it was not painfull yet annoying. And last winter I had a nasty fall hitting my jaw but even after that it was not a big issue after a few days. Now since alst couple of weeks, I have developed pain on right jaw. Is this completely curable??? :-(
I don't have any special exercises on line for EDS patients right now. Each case can be different and what works for one may be contraindicated for another person, hence I cannot put any definitive exercises up on the web without knowing the persons for which the exercise is intended. I posted this video as general information for those with TMJ issues, I am sure it can help if you keep at it daily.
Thanks Dr. Rosenberg! The massage and the pressure point concentration has really helped. Do you recommend anything special for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type patients whom suffer from TMJ other than being conscious how our jaw sits? Do you have any special exercises for EDS patients? Thank you very much. Carrie
The accupunture point is really helpful, when I press on it (only my left side), it feels sore, after awhile the pain in the muscle is reduced. I would love to see more accupunture points in your future videos. Thanks!
You are very welcome. I am glad it helped you. BTW, I don't think I mentioned this in the video, but even if your TMJ feels perfect, continue with a maintenance regimen of exercising/stretching the area. Why? Anybody with a tendency to tighten the jaw muscles, either out of habit or from an old injury or dental work, tends to injure it again, particularly when sleeping (clenching/grinding). So, keeping up with the exercises keeps the issue away (or at least under control)
Wow the acupressure point trick worked for me!

30 seconds to one minute, maybe a few times a day to retrain yourself not to clench

I don't know the answer. I cannot diagnose over the web. Consult a tmj professional if the pain persists.
