I love both this film and the original. Meier is just a total badass. Pretty sure he'd rip the cock off of any of the gay vampires from Twilight and feed it to them after ripping out their throat, without a second thought.

And this is the best fucking AMV I've seen in a long, long time. I love Sonata Arctica, and I love Vampire Hunter D. What's not to like? :3

@SaltiCat0 I have yet to read the book corresponding to the movie used for this AMV, Demon Deathchase, but from the other two I have read I can tell you this. They can get a tad verbose but they give much more backstory than either of the movies. So, in a word: yes, the books are worth the read in my opinion.

I do believe there are 22 at the moment with a collection of short stories. However, to my knowledge, only 11 of the novels have been translated into English.
