I do not support Bushes view on freedom. However, I would like to point out to you that freedom of a nation's citizens is not social liberalism. True freedom is the right of a citizen to have the means of overthrowing his or her government.

Anyone who thinks the current policy isn't isolationist is fooling themselves. If you want to visit Canada, you now have to show your papers to get back into your own country. If you're on a flight that crosses US airspace (even if you aren't landing in the US), your identification must be provided to the US government. Your conversations are being monitored. And the list goes on. The Department of Homeland Security is a driving force in the isolation of America.
