Let me nip this GT vs Forza argument in the bud right now. GT5 was in production for 5 years. In five years turn 10 has made 3 games in 6 years it will be 4. In my opinion this is not a good way to keep a fan base but maybe thats just me. Im not bias toward forza this was just one fact. GT5 has amazing visuals and the physics are a tad better than foza's. However I do like Forza's tracks better. Pretty much the two games are equal and on different systems so there is really no point in arguing.

@MrMathewbourne I'm a GT fan but if you think GT5's customization is better than Forza's, then you're a bit delusional. Overall. Forza 3 has good graphics. GT5's are great if you don't count the jaggies and some of the poorly rendered tracks.
But I agree, GT5 atleast has better gameplay. Forza 3's gameplay feel a bit arcadey at times.

Pretty much defeats the purpose of have more quantity when 0 players are willing to drive a 1980 daihatsu. At least forza has all premium models which gt5 only have 300 premium and the rest are direct imports from gt4.

Maybe i havnt mention this but the fact is I own both a Ps3 and xbox. I play gt5 more than i do on forza. But the more I play on gt5 the more I get less out of it. Gt5 is suppose to be a game that is always fun in driving and never stops.
But the fact that once you earn level 50 in the game, the fun is even worse than you start out. Damage physics that said were to be very good in the game, isnt.
Why does a HKS Lancer 4 in gt5 sound like a vacuum machine when in forza 3 the sound is so much more distinct? there is a roar in the engine that gt5 doesnt have. Yes you may a supercharge whines, but really, does a car engine itself at low revs with supercharger not on sounds like a vacuum too?
The fact your assuming i havnt play gt5 because of my criticism is quite childish. Its because i played both long enough to tell the different the flaws of each game.
forza isnt particularly good on some aspects of the road that bumps and such are missing, But at least their tyre squeals sounds what it would sound in real life, unlike gt5 with their generic music copied from gt4.
Gt5 used more time than any racing game in the market to make, i'd expected the best and a game that is good in every aspect, but the fact that certain parts of it is lacking badly, its just not worth the 6 yrs of making.

You must be illiterate. I never said gt5 menu music was copied from gt4. I said majority of car engine and tire squeals are generic variants of noise copied from gt4. Some cars do not sound like that in real life. V8 dodge charger does not sound like a vacuum cleaner. Only the super charger sounds like that, but the fact it lacks that typical roar of a engine, its not the real thing.
Second, people are illiterate on the meaning of "real simulator". A definition of simulator means a representation of real thing. I doubt in real life 200 kph crash into a solid brick wall would only leave my bumper half wrecked and a hood that is only a little dented.
Last time I watched crash tests, cars even with 70kph gets their front totaled.
So dont talk to me about how realistic gt5 is, none of it represents a simulator.

Look, i never said Forza was any realistic either. But my main point everywhere is that Forza 3 does a much better job at certain aspect of the game that makes me more attractive to play it than gt5 does. I am not promoting forza, I dont have an xbox360, I only have PS3. But ever since i tried forza 3 something is just not right with gt5, its just missing the enjoyment.
The first problem you will notice with gt5 is that there is a lack of engine noise realism. Its hard to explain in words that feeling, but you will know what proper engine noise is suppose to be when you hear it.
Gt5 sounds are generic variants taken from a single car except for some that they are from the real car. Gt5 damage even at lvl 50 in the game is still horrible. I expected much more than just a dented bumper at 100 mph into a wall.
You misunderstood everything. I never said you want to purposely crash a car during a race. But the point of having damage as realistic as possible, (at least forza punishes players by having sever damages to the car you can no longer race) is because mistakes are bound to happen in racing. And damage system helps people learn to how race properly and punish punks who just want to ram you in multiplayer.
What is the point of making a careless mistake and crash and yet you are able to still race and earn a decent position?? Thats not what racing is.
And that is definitely not what a racing simulator is. A simulator is suppose to simulate realism or something close to realism. But by the way how gt5 is developed is like a arcade rather than a simulator.

OK so i traded in my xbox (60gig) for a playstation 3 (160gig). the only thing you can do on x box is play games. thats it. on the playstation i can go on the internet just like a computer. on the playstation there are ways to download free music and movies.i download movies that are still in theaters. plus playstation has way better exclusives like heavy rain, resistance, killzone, GRAN TURISMO, ect. oh and did i mention FREE online? lol

@ThreeDaysOfDan shift has horrible gameplay with the joystick the car turns at an angle, but with the g25 i got it platinum, and i still play sometimes my opinion is they made it for use with a stering wheel not for analogue
You know....now that I saw this and other GT5 videos, while I have played GT2,GT3, and GT4...I might just buy a PS3 just so I can play this one >:D. Gran Turismo games are my favorites...not because of graphics, the gameplay is just to great to pass up, basically endless oppurtunities(sorry I am not very good with big words :( ).

Most of the people I've met that game on PC (including myself) game on PC because of dedicated servers, better controls, performance, modding, large variety of games, and graphics as a plus. If you think graphics don't make a difference, think of this; when a console game has 0 anti aliasing and your enemy fifty feet away from you is jagged and edgy, it makes a huge difference when gaming on PC.
@calculatorboyqwe Dont get me wrong, i know pc is better in most ways, but most pc gamers bring up graphics when arguing with them. I play singleplayer games on pc and multiplayer games on console because finding a dedicated server is usually a pain in the ass. Also the best game in the world, minecraft, has the shittiest graphics but its awesome.

one thing that lets this game down is the tire sound when going round a corner to fast. it has been the same since gt 3 .. some inprovement is needed for me to pay over £40 for this game .. forza have achally got reall car sounds
i hope the cars sound REAL in this one...they sound like fucking crap in 1,2,3,4 lets hope they could get the licenseing of the companys like forza did to record the sounds of the actual car. cause in forza a subaru actually has the boxer rumble in GT 4 it sounds like a honda civic on crack...so idk. lets hope they got it right this time!

Pretty much defeats the purpose of have more quantity when 0 players are willing to drive a 1980 daihatsu. At least forza has all premium models which gt5 only have 300 premium and the rest are direct imports from gt4.

Maybe i havnt mention this but the fact is I own both a Ps3 and xbox. I play gt5 more than i do on forza. But the more I play on gt5 the more I get less out of it. Gt5 is suppose to be a game that is always fun in driving and never stops.
But the fact that once you earn level 50 in the game, the fun is even worse than you start out. Damage physics that said were to be very good in the game, isnt.

Why does a HKS Lancer 4 in gt5 sound like a vacuum machine when in forza 3 the sound is so much more distinct? there is a roar in the engine that gt5 doesnt have. Yes you may a supercharge whines, but really, does a car engine itself at low revs with supercharger not on sounds like a vacuum too?
The fact your assuming i havnt play gt5 because of my criticism is quite childish. Its because i played both long enough to tell the different the flaws of each game.

forza isnt particularly good on some aspects of the road that bumps and such are missing, But at least their tyre squeals sounds what it would sound in real life, unlike gt5 with their generic music copied from gt4.
Gt5 used more time than any racing game in the market to make, i'd expected the best and a game that is good in every aspect, but the fact that certain parts of it is lacking badly, its just not worth the 6 yrs of making.

You must be illiterate. I never said gt5 menu music was copied from gt4. I said majority of car engine and tire squeals are generic variants of noise copied from gt4. Some cars do not sound like that in real life. V8 dodge charger does not sound like a vacuum cleaner. Only the super charger sounds like that, but the fact it lacks that typical roar of a engine, its not the real thing.

Second, people are illiterate on the meaning of "real simulator". A definition of simulator means a representation of real thing. I doubt in real life 200 kph crash into a solid brick wall would only leave my bumper half wrecked and a hood that is only a little dented.
Last time I watched crash tests, cars even with 70kph gets their front totaled.
So dont talk to me about how realistic gt5 is, none of it represents a simulator.

Look, i never said Forza was any realistic either. But my main point everywhere is that Forza 3 does a much better job at certain aspect of the game that makes me more attractive to play it than gt5 does. I am not promoting forza, I dont have an xbox360, I only have PS3. But ever since i tried forza 3 something is just not right with gt5, its just missing the enjoyment.

The first problem you will notice with gt5 is that there is a lack of engine noise realism. Its hard to explain in words that feeling, but you will know what proper engine noise is suppose to be when you hear it.
Gt5 sounds are generic variants taken from a single car except for some that they are from the real car. Gt5 damage even at lvl 50 in the game is still horrible. I expected much more than just a dented bumper at 100 mph into a wall.

You misunderstood everything. I never said you want to purposely crash a car during a race. But the point of having damage as realistic as possible, (at least forza punishes players by having sever damages to the car you can no longer race) is because mistakes are bound to happen in racing. And damage system helps people learn to how race properly and punish punks who just want to ram you in multiplayer.

Gt5 has one of the worst engine modelling noise and unrealistic physics.

OK so i traded in my xbox (60gig) for a playstation 3 (160gig). the only thing you can do on x box is play games. thats it. on the playstation i can go on the internet just like a computer. on the playstation there are ways to download free music and movies.i download movies that are still in theaters. plus playstation has way better exclusives like heavy rain, resistance, killzone, GRAN TURISMO, ect. oh and did i mention FREE online? lol

Most of the people I've met that game on PC (including myself) game on PC because of dedicated servers, better controls, performance, modding, large variety of games, and graphics as a plus. If you think graphics don't make a difference, think of this; when a console game has 0 anti aliasing and your enemy fifty feet away from you is jagged and edgy, it makes a huge difference when gaming on PC.

I play singleplayer games on pc and multiplayer games on console because finding a dedicated server is usually a pain in the ass.
