  • Gmax (or G Unk as we call them) make some of the crappiest helmets we sell in our Helmet department. (That's about 550 different models on the sales floor) They break on the sales floor, they straight up reek like chemicals, it sounds like an echo chamber when you have it on your head. It has a huge shell size, Very cheap quality, these come back broken all the time (Especially the paper thin plastic vents on top) For almost the same price you can get a much better HJC CL-16 or Scorpion EXO400.

  • I bought this helmet and LOVE IT, fits excellent and is light. Can't be beat for price as well.

  • I have a 24.5"-24.625" head circumference and my head looks like it it is oval in shape, this is my first helmet and I was wondering if I should get the size recommended by Gmax that being a XL or should I get a XXL because I have a more oval than round head shape? I read somewhere GMAX helmets were made more riders witha round head. I will be ordering it online and there are NO local bike shops to try them on at.

  • @JASONANDTRACI Read the webBikeWorld review for fitting information. My feeling is that if it's your first helmet, you really should visit a local shop and try on as many helmets as you can in various sizes also to figure out what fits. Read the webBikeWorld Motorcycle Helmet FAQ page to learn all about buying and fitting helmets.

  • @JASONANDTRACI size is one thing, form is another. don't mix em. if a helmet your head's size doesn't fit well you should go for a different helmet, not the same helmet at a different size, cause that wouldn't fit well too anyway. for example with your oval head, if you wear a round helmet your size, you will have the problem of being too up on your head. if you go for the same helmet on a bigger size, the helmet might be on the right height but there will be spaces left and right on your head.

  • Is it easy to change the visors? Does the visor mechanism look like it will hold up or break in a couple weeks?

  • @JASONANDTRACI All covered in the full webBikeWorld review.

  • Just bought a Gmax GM68s Max. I live in Thailand and today it was 35c yet my head stayed cool, great air-flow! Looks and fits great too, fantastic helmet!

  • No response from Customer Service Department at GAMMA Sales (Canadian GMAX sales). Can not recommend a GMAX Helmet.

  • I have the same helmet... worth every penny... great helmet! Also have a HJC Helmet.. and it does not come close...

  • Hi, how would you say this helmet compares to the Sparx S-07?

  • Difficult to say, we have reviews of both of those helmets, the Gmax probably has better air flow for sure.

  • @wbwvids So is that a vote for the GMAX? :)

I've read both the reviews, and I think the GMAX is the better value, although the Sparx looks pretty damn good. Anyways thanks for the reviews and keep up the good work!

  • It depends on what you're looking for, it's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. The SparX is more of a standard helmet, while the Gmax has some interesting features but fits and looks different.

Remember, the first thing is to determine your head shape. All helmets fit differently, and if a helmet doesn't match your head shape, it's basically worthless. We have lots more info about this on webBikeWorld.

  • got matte black one:)

  • man...this thang is secsay!!

  • where and how can i buy that helmet???

  • Please visit webBikeWorld for more details and buy the helmet from our affiliate. We'll earn a couple of bucks which will help us keep the reviews and videos coming! Thanks for your support!

  • @wbwvids Daytona motorcycle in Vancouver BC and this other shop Baysideperformace can get Gmax helmets but they can't find This Dragon Helmet so I picked up a medium Flat black but really want this Dragon Helmet Please Help???????

  • great for visibility!

  • i have the white and orange one =] and i love it.

  • Shine on line.Shine of Taiwan!

  • Does any one know where can i find a video of this Actually on use? on a motorcycle ride?

  • got me the modular dragon helmet..pretty sweet, also added on a dual visor (like nolan helmet)

  • just got one, black like the one in the video , gotta say , "I Love It".. fits great , quiet, wonderful visor,I like the saftey factor with the LED lights.. all in all , a bargain for under $120.

  • THIS HELMET IS CRAP!

I got one last week, and it's cheap! Don't get me wrong, the thing looks great (I got the white/blue one) and it feels great. The problem is 1) the shell feels and construction is CHEAP (compared to my HJC CL-SP), 2) The shield does NOT come off easy at all. I broke a tap on the shield (rendering it unusable) trying to take it off the first time, and 3) The notches on the shield that "click" as you close it, cause both sides to close unevenly.

Spend your $ on a better helm.

  • NOT CRAP!!!!!

You must have taken your visor off the wrong way - I have taken mine off with no problem. Also, It is DOT approved, and there really is a lot of venting on it. It is surprising that the lights in back aren't made available on more helmets. and you know what? It is less expensive than quite a few other helmets out there.

The lights are a good idea. At night, people have another way to see you. As any biker knows, visibility is KEY! Next: a helmet with a built in FORWARD headlight.

  • I have to agree these are great helmets and at a nice price,My husband and I both have this exact one,and we agree with what the videos says about them.

  • Lol i think you took an special one dude, i bought it for my gf it is GREAT, she loves it, the shield works perfect in fact she had a Shark like big shit and this one fits lot better and lighter!

  • Yes, it usually takes a refresh of the browser cache. A 'Ctrl-F5' key combination is supposed to do a hard refresh of the browser page and re-load the page after dumping what's in the cache. Thanks again for the heads-up....

  • Thanks very much for the tip, not sure what happened...I fixed it.

  • Do you happen to know wheather this helmet will be available also in Europe? It seems really decent stuff.

  • I don't know but I will ask the company.

  • Unfortunately GMAX is not currently distributed in Europe only in the U.S. by Western Power Sports and Marshall Distributing and in Canada by Gamma Distributing.

  • Thank you very much for the info. It's a pity cause I'd definitely by one if it was distributed in Europe. Shipment costs of a single unit from the US wouldn't make it such a bargain anymore I guess. I did some research and it seems that GMAX is not present in Europe as yet. Thanks for your videos I do really enjoy watching them - very professional and informative.

  • Where can you buy this helmet for the sale price with the extra tinted shield and led cover?

  • i ordered from helmetoutletusa but i think it's better to order from motorcycle-superstore cause of their better return policy.

  • We have a link on our GMAX review page to order one through Motorcycle Superstore and if you do we can pick up a few bucks which helps us run the site and post more videos, much appreciated!

  • just ordered one to try it and the led's and the extra tinted shield had me sold

  • Thanks for the good review. I finally chose a helmet and ordered one
