  • Thanks for these two informative videos. We live the soft life compared to these people, yet I wonder if we are as happy as they? I enjoyed the clever mix of traditional and modern music, too. Peter, NZ.

  • Despite what they eat.....They sure worked it off daily in their daily activity......Staying active all the time.....Excellent video post......

  • Can you eat this huge fish in one day?

  • whoever added this music deserves to be wacked in the face

  • Bad footage..lol.. good musik..hahaha

  • Hope they'll keep the traditions and culture alive for ever. Never know, someday all the technologies can be gone in a second.

  • beautiful footage.... bad musical score. lol... great video though.

  • thanks for a little peek into your culture, hunting being a great part of that,,you are admired!

  • Great film, Thanks.

Gives me hope for the human race.

    We can survive anything.

    Keep on keeping on!

  • mazing great film nice 1 like it

  • TOK RULEZ!!!

  • I seriously must try walrus, seal, narwhal, and any other Inuit delicacy. I would also love to learn traditional survival skills in arctic environments. I am however dying to find out where I can purchase a traditional Inuit hunters fur outfit and also knives (online if possible). Caribou knife would make a perfect gift to a family friend I know who loves hunting as well as myself. Thank you for sharing your culture, and traditional ways on the internet.

  • @NameTaken1000 yes the inuit has been doing this for decades, alaska is the place where you can learn how to survive and gain skills on how to hunt for meat, it is hard but worth it, you also have to study the weather so youl know what to hunt for

  • This reminds me of a John Denver song, which is in part: I'll sing for you, my father, for the ancient, sacred ways ... (the song is Whalebones and Crosses) Thank you for sharing your culture with the rest of us who have no idea.

  • Thanks, hivshu, for posting this footage!

  • Thank you for receiving our life. I'll be putting some more.

  • Seal hunting for the tribes, good. Seal hunting for profit, bad.

  • Too bad there is to many europeon white dogs stopping our natives in Canada from hunting, they figure put us in low income areas out of there site and feed us their farm animals full of their poisons, Ah the whiteman justice.

  • i am a white man and i cannot stand how we treat indigenous people. i wish the whole world would once again revolve around the tribe, the family group.... a much more natural way of living

  • You are so right!

  • Cool, reminds me of what my great grandparents and their son my grandpa use to go through, glad its still alive and the NATIVE ways of hunting is still alive and practiced up North in our Native Brothers backyard, QUYANA

  • Sure, nice to hear. I hope to hunt with you one day the way as our ancestors did.

  • @tanqik72

Indeed, though Native is a relative term - My ancestors hunted Whale, Walrus & Seal & still should be able to - alas my ancestors are Nordic ;-]

I myself, dream of such a hunt & consider them (the Inuits) lucky to live in such a manner.

  • look in description , respect to the animal , what?? ill come stab ur family but ill do it the traditional way for respect huh?? learn what the fuck ur saying

  • thanks

  • Absolutly fantastic. The old ways are not gone.

  • The hunting style is still there, we kept it as our fathers and mothers wanted us to do even though the Europeans want us to stop the traditional way of hunting as they want us to be like them. But we need animals to be free and we have to find them in many different conditions, that's how we'll appreciate the animals.

  • show us some more, please!

  • Beautiful video; thanks for posting.

  • I love all the British and American morons saying it is disgusting, they will sit with their feet up eating a McDonalds later, Hypocrits.

  • watch my vid

seal Hunt 2008 Open Your Eyes

see the species that suffer because of activist groups

  • Ariigaa! If you have more please post them. I love to see these hunting videos especially marine mammal. They will be even more important as fewer Indigenous Inupiat/Inuit continue to hunt. Quyaanuqpuk.

  • Aa! I working on spring time hunting in the same area and summer hunting. But it will take a little while when I have to go to US for visit.

We Inuit from Qaanaaq have our ancestors living in Alaska. They call us their "Elders".

  • digusting

you dont need to eat that poor animal

if you are so 'traditional' are you going to give up your guns and your fridges???

  • I do understand you statement as I know about your people. But our life is so as your life is so - we are different as the colors of the Universe - some keep animals in captivation to kill them later to eat and some let them be free to give them chance to give life to generations. So few we are to hunt in certain areas but we have ceremonies to take life to be in life. I hope you understand that we are many colors in the Earth as my sons song is about: Your life in many colors.
