First, you cant utter a rule about artistic preferences, why should someone have to do, like sth better etc?? and then yeah, most of the time lives are better and bmore loved than the recorded versions, but just because it's garbage, shirley one doesnt have to find that's always perfect. I do know the difference: sounding perfect is more related to the technical part of the performance, singing perfectly well it's clear, the singer is always in the key blabalabl and having a night off is when out of tiredness, repeted shows etc your voice is a little weak and you cant give it all that very night. I think everybody will agree on that. What I was saing was, again, in response to an older comment.
