i REALLY like "Release Me," and had never heard of her so I looked up how she got started. I hate to say it but I'm surprised that this was the finals, and that she won them! If i ONLY heard this song, I would never think she became a recording artist. Truth is it is incredibly pitchy. had some nice moments, but in general it was off. But her newer single is good!

They sing in both swedish and english here on Swedish Idol, because english is like a second language to us. We hear english all the time on radio and tvshows. We also learn english in school from the age of 8.

So to us it's not something we think about really, and it's easier for the artist if the song is in english from the beginning so they don't have to translate it....

In some countries ýou sing in your native language cuz that´s the way that specific country´s music industry is built up. In Sweden Swedish music don´t have that breakthrough power.
