  • are you McLovin' ?

  • Its much easier with home sharing activated on your computer and device :)

  • it worked yesterday and now it well not

  • its not working

  • Guys, I found out the problem! You need to enable bonjour service, by allowing it to access your computer. Your firewall may be blocking it. That solved the problem for me! Please thumbs up so more people can see this!

  • does It needs home sharing to be activated?

  • ive had my ipod for many months now, i did all the steps but it spends lke 15 min to verify the code! it wont work! it just keeps saying CODE BEEING VERIFIED. i dont no what to do. please help.

  • dont work!

  • As the guy below me said, you have to have allowed "home sharing" in your itunes library and in remote app as well. If you don't have allowed home sharing you can do it in your itunes, just go to advanced option and turn it on. Than just restart itunes and you should see your music library in your remote app on your ipod/iphone, of course you have to be wifi connected.

What is interesting, you not using password to connection anymore. Seems to be that way worked in older verz. of itunes.

  • what u guys can do after trying it all is goin to the advanced settings turn off your homesharing and turn it on again, having to log in. then retry everything. sing in in the remote app as well

  • @IGotMoves818 you need the new itunes update alex then have your i pod conekted to your computer and open the password on remote then the itunes will open remote on itunes and toy know the rest its in the video

  • Does this work with the first generation ipod? cause mine is a first generation and it doesn't come up with the remote icon on my itunes like you said it should..

    Feedback please

  • Make sure you disconnect then reconnect. you need to sync it aswell.

  • nothing goes out of the devices that says remote. Why didnt apple implement a simple manual addition of a remote.

  • Anyone know if you can connect to a computer that is using an ethernet connection?

Our house has a wireless router My comp is wireless, the family one is wired (same router). Can I connect to the wired one?

I've got mine working but not the family one.

  • yep

  • nothing pop out on the side

  • I had it working on Vista since the app was made. Now it doesn't work with Windows 7... They will probably update it eventually.

  • hey guys...my firewall is blocking my ipod.....what do i do?

  • @1lyserg2 disable your firewall

  • whats the point when you can just play it from your ipod directly if you have it synced

  • If you have a half decent library you can't fit all the songs on your iTouch.

  • whos hugletank if hes a youtuber i cant find him

  • hey man nothins working for me, u got any other ideas?

  • If your computer can't find the remote you need to go into Preferences> Devices > Select: Look For iPhone and iPod touch remotes.

  • this is a helpful app as i lost my remote for my mac :P

  • thanks. :)

  • this is not working! i have windows vista home premium, and i have an ipod touch with the remote app and this is not working. it doesnt say remote anywere in itunes, and ive looked for help and i cant find any that works.

  • You need to have the BONJOUR service started to use the remote. To start this go to the CONTROL PANEL and choose ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS. Then select SERVICES. Look for BONJOUR SERVICE and double click. In start up type choose AUTOMATIC and then click START, then OK. Restart ITUNES and bobs your uncle!!!

  • Thanx. This worked perfect.

  • were can i find adminastrative tools in vista?

  • its doest work for vista

  • hhahaha bobs your uncle

  • yes he is actually

  • YES! IT WORKS

  • @hugletank i cant find bonjour service

  • thank u so much ive had this app for ever and never got it to work and ur video works its short an d sweet and easy thank u

  • i have done all the steps but i also have the problem of the remote not appearing in the itunes. i also have wifi connected , opened into add library with the code and still will not pop out!! plz help me!

  • did you open it, then select choose a library... and undering it, add library? it will give you a code right after that, and it will pop up in itunes under your ipod/iphone and click on it, open it up, type the code it, your computer will say, your ipod can now control itunes.

  • @jusking1214 Did this, didn't work for me... The remote doesnt pop up on my itunes.

  • @berenize001 me eather

  • i think i need wifi to make this work.

  • FAIL.

  • @jusking1214 i agree with you dude.. my itunes cant detect my itouch :( sooo effin' sad!

  • Does your Ipod have to be sync'ed to the computer?

  • it has to be plugged in and opened to remote and add library then it just says type the 4 digit code in, so no not synced, just cancell it and do the steps

  • it didnt come up with the remote ting underneth my iphone name

  • did you have remote opened?

you have to have the remote application opened and on the add new libaray choice opened, and the code ready, it should pop right up...

  • for me the same..

  • do u have to be online to do this or can u conect to ur pc when not on the net b couse im not using my charger to use it just wanderin if i need the net to use it

  • so basically, you need to have wifi, and all you need to do is plug your ipod into your computer, wait for itunes to open, then connect your ipod touch or iphone, and turn on your ipod touch or iphone and open up the remote application, then select new library, and a 4 digit code will appear, and on your computer, right below your iphone or ipod touch a new thing will appear saying remore, open it, and then type in the 4 digit code, and there you go, your iphone/ipod touch can control itunes

  • i just reviewed the video , it actully, repeats the name or your ipod or iphone but has a different symbol,
