Well, instead of a remake, I guess this is more of a sequel to Aquarion (which I am now watching and hopes to finish by the end of winter break). I'm barely on episode 2 of Aquarion so I can't judge whats better.

But I must say, I definitely LOVE this anime. My favorite this season. It's cliche-ness and cheesy-ness are absolutely thrilling, almost the same feeling of what they feel when they form a Union ♥. haha :D

@Auusiefagrweabboo I think the point that they are trying to make is that Aquarion is an object of Shadow Angel Origin, and that it fights VERY similarly to what the enemies use(in the last season Aquarion controlled EXACTLY how the enemies this season control) but the main thing is that while Aquarion is a singular unit, the shadow angels have many, but not as strong as Aquarion because it draws it's power from multiple people who themselves are special and have a 3 way sync going.

@Auusiefagrweabboo To add on my previous post, Aquarion was a gift from Apollonius who gave his position as a Angel, to fight for the humans. So it makes sense that they fight the same as it was originally something they would use. This somewhat blurs the line between who is really evil here.

So you are actually wearing a suit and control your suit as you start fighting. Aquarion is also not a robot. On the other hand Aquarion from the series is not from God but from the Shadow Angels, it is brought by Apollonius to help fend off his fellow Shadow Angels, since it was sacrificed in season 1, Neo-DEAVA like DEAVA was able to recreate or reproduce the Vectors hence another Aquarion.
