actually, the exact opposite is true. There were an awful lot of great freestyle skaters back then, and to see someone do an ollie impossible or any kind of ollie trick or flip trick had been well overused in demonstrations and contests. So it was nothing new or exciting. There were a few new tricks that Rodney had done in this contest that no one has ever seen. Although a lot of Rodneys routines were very similar each contest. he usually had something new up his sleeve, which made it worth it.

yep, some announcers are notorious for that. one contest I was in, this different announcer spoke half way through most peoples runs, including mine. pretty rude, if I must say. Oh well, I just looked at it as another demonstration where the announcer needs to speak while I skate. Haha!

That contest was in 92 which makes him 38 today, 6 years older than me? I'm 32 now. In 92 I was 16. Rodney was born in 1969? I was born in 1975. Wow! I didn't know him and I were so close in age. If that's true, Tony Hawk is younger than 38 today. Tony mentioned he's younger than Rodney. I thought Tony was in his early 40's. Is 24 correct? If so, I wasn't too far behind him. I was one of the upcoming hot freestyler's in 90's that would have given him a run for his money, but never beat him.
