Country isnt a sound or a place. Everyone can say how much this isnt country or how much other stuff is country; but when it comes down to it, country is a way of life. It is believing in the simpler things in life and not needing all the attention and not needing all the support from everyone. Colt goes out and sings what he knows and thats country. Just because you're from somewhere or you sound like something doesn't make you country; it's all about how you live your life.

Country music is changing, but its staying the same. If you are so blind as to think that the old style isn't still there, you need to open your eyes. If you actually look past the radio, there is still plenty of great country. The radio plays what the mass audience likes. Which is generally party music. Quit complaining, look something else up, and most importantly, stay country!
